Anti-China sentiment builds on the Tory back benches

The Tory rebels’ plot to further restrict Huawei’s role in UK telecoms might have failed last month, but it succeeded in uniting an unlikely coalition of backbenchers. Now, as George Grylls writes, “the coronavirus pandemic has hardened the rebels’ resolve”. But what will that mean for the government when parliament returns from recess next week?
