This mole’s whiskers are trembling with horror this afternoon. The mole knows politics can be dirty. Election campaigns are rough. But the Tories have taken it to the next level of offensive desperation in their Walthamstow campaign leaflet.
In it they include a useful comparison of the Tory candidate with the north-east London constituency’s Labour MP, Stella Creasy. With a nice retro 1920s feel. Maybe they should have tea-stained the paper to make it look more like an authentic historical document. Here it is:
Tory leaflet arrived. Apparently I should vote for them as @stellacreasy‘s not a wife, mother or cleaner. Seriously? pic.twitter.com/YGVdzropk1

Responding on Twitter, Creasy – who, disgustingly, also happens not to be an athlete – expresses disbelief that even the Tories could sink so low:
Wow- @Molly4Wstow actually judges me in her leaflet for not being a wife or mother. Seriously Tories? Seriously? pic.twitter.com/bt7FTFxGw3
