As Ra to the ancient Egyptians was the sacred and untouchable god of the sun, Jeremy Clarkson is to headline writers the sacred and untouchable god of The Sun.

And the love of its god couldn’t be stronger in light of the fracas that has pulled him kicking and tweeting off our screens.

This mole particularly enjoys the coy asterisks. It can only hope such punctuational respect was shown to readers in the paper’s past reports of Clarkson’s racist slurs.
