Watch: Someone has created a film trailer for “Forgetting Ed Miliband“

Move aside, Sarah Marshall.

By Media Mole

Remember that guy, Ed Miliband? One time leader of the Labour party? Teen heartthrob? Bacon sandwich botherer?

Nah, neither can your mole.

After the long, grim night that followed 7 May, many of us are trying to banish all memories of poor Ed. But some brave souls are keeping the memory alive – as a video this mole has come across shows:

Using clips from Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) with Miliband and David Cameron’s faces transposed on top, YouTube user Huw Parkinson has created a film trailer meditating on the breakdown of the Mili-brand. Russell Brand’s Trews interview makes it in, as does the now infamous “hell yes!” line from an early election debate.

The end result is bizarre, yes – but not entirely unenjoyable.

Meanwhile, in parliament today…

Less Forgetting Ed Miliband, more Backbench to the Future.
