Ryanair to resume 40 per cent of routes from July with new rules for passengers

By Samuel Horti

Ryanair will recommend wearing face masks on board its flights and customers will need permission to use the toilet when it reopens 40 per cent of its routes on 1 July, it announced today.

It will begin running 1,000 flights per day at the start of July, up from 30 flights per day currently, so long as European Union regulations on flying change by then. It expects flights to be half-full because of “anaemic” travel demand.

All passengers will need to fill out a form detailing the length of their trip and where they will stay, which will be provided to EU governments.

Passengers will face temperature checks at the airport, and must use hand sanitiser in terminals, it said.
