Jenkins: “We have made some serious mistakes in the last few years”

The new chief executive of Barclays Antony Jenkins holds his hands up at a conference in New York, but says he will “move quickly” to repair the bank’s reputation. Although he ruled out any sale of the investment banking arm, the new chief said that some parts of the business were set to shrink.
