The Department for Work and Pensions has an official subscription to Private Eye

A Freedom of Information request reveals which newspapers and magazines the DWP receives. The department must have a thick skin as one of these is Private Eye.

Following a Freedom of Information request, the Department for Work and Pensions has revealed which newspapers and magazines it officially subscribes to. One of these is Private Eye, a magazine that incessantly mocks the department – well, all government departments – and describes its secretary of state, Iain Duncan Smith, as "Iain Duncan Cough", because of his poor public speaking as Tory leader.
