CNN trades eight seconds of "first" for seven minutes of "wrong".

Jon Stewart is always excoriating about the incentives on cable news, from the desire for spectacle to the worship of the graven idol of “balance”. But when a competition to be the first to report on Obamacare – beating Fox News by just eight seconds – led to CNN reporting the wrong news for a full seven minutes, they really were asking for it.
