WATCH: Fox & Friends presenter: “I don’t think I’ve washed my hands for ten years“

Pete Hegseth said he doesn’t believe in germs because “I can’t see them, therefore they are not real.”

Fox & Friends is President Donald Trump’s favourite TV show. The president is famously a germophobe, though, so he may not have liked a revealingly gross moment on Sunday in which presenter Pete Hegseth announced, unprompted, that he had not washed his hands “in ten years”.

Explaining his grimy decision, Hegseth was pretty on-brand with the show’s cavalier attitude toward science and the scientific method: his justification was that, “Germs are not a real thing.”

“I can’t see them, therefore they’re not real,” he continued.
