The Leave campaign has tweeted a campaign poster. It compares the politicians on its side of the EU debate with the ones who are backing Remain.
“Join the brave!” it chirrups merrily into the internet:
There are so many things wrong with this, your mole could not wait to get its clawed paws into it the moment it appeared.
First, GREAT way to compare yourself favourably to the Remain campaign! Really politically astute idea to have two inclusive, reliable politicians like George Galloway and Nigel Farage up against two guys on the other side who have only, like, won numerous general elections and have just a pinch of extensive experience in running the country. And yeah, fair enough, the third of the unholy trinity, Boris, is popular. But why choose a picture of him holding a brick?
Now let’s look at the other side. Why is David Cameron’s hand so small? In fact, all the hands look quite strange. Especially the one inexplicably holding a brick.
And the background seems either to be projected onto the bark of a tree or blemished skin. Or maybe an exposed concrete wall? Or is it…brick, again? Get over it, guys.
Uh, and they’re all white men, of course.
And why would you use this picture to celebrate a “grass roots movement”? These men are about as grassy as public school sports ground astroturf.
But one thing they did get right – Jeremy Corbyn looking stubborn but utterly lost somewhere in the middle.
