Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander loses his seat to the SNP

Lib Dem ministerial collapse.

The Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, has lost his seat to the SNP.

The Lib Dem MP for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey won 18,029 votes, to the SNP candidate Drew Hendry’s 18,029.

He is just one of many senior Lib Dem politicians and ministers to lose their seats.
