“The European Union is not an à la carte menu”

Eamon Gilmore, Ireland’s deputy prime minister, says Britain should not be allowed to set up a different category of membership in the EU. His comments follow a letter from prominent business leaders to the FT saying David Cameron risks destabilising the economy if he tries to seek a “wholesale renegotiation of our EU membership”.
