Business quote of the day: “What went wrong?“

By Helen Roxburgh

“Every day I look in the mirror and ask: what did I do wrong?”

Peter Cummings , the former chief executive of HBOS corporate, accused the Financial Services Authority of “sinister” and “outrageous” behaviour by singling him out for punishment. Cummings, interviewed at home in Scotland due to a serious illness, was fined £500,000 by the FSA in September and banned for life for his role in the HBOS collapse.
