Tories trying to have it both ways on the exit poll

Conservatives claim poll could be wrong but also that Brown has been “decisively rejected”.

A thought: how can the Tories claim that the exit poll may be wrong (in the hope that they have won an overall majority) and yet also declare that Gordon Brown has been “decisively rejected”?

You can’t cast doubt on the reliability of the exit poll, as Kenneth Clarke, Jeremy Hunt, George Osborne et al have done, and then cite it as evidence that Brown has lost.

I dare say the Tories have won many more seats than Labour, but can we have some consistency, please, chaps?
