Michael Chaplin’s stage adaptation of the third volume of Chris Mullin’s diaries, A Walk On Part, which covers Mullin’s time as a Labour backbencher between 1994 and 1999, moves to the West End next month, for a run that begins on 18 June. John Hodgkinson plays Mullin, while the other members of the cast – Tracy Gillman, Hywel Morgan and Joe Caffrey – play more than 100 characters, including Tony Benn, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and John Prescott.
