The Telegraph reports that Christopher Shale, who was Conservative party chairman in West Oxfordshire, has been found dead in a toilet backstage at Glastonbury.

Extracts from a leaked strategy document, in which Mr Shale claimed there was "no reason" for people to join his local Conservative association and criticises the party's recruitment efforts, were published in today's Mail on Sunday.

David Cameron, whose constituency of Witney is covered by the West Oxfordshire Conservative Association, has paid tribute to a "great friend", the BBC reports.
