The full extent of the catastrophe in Haiti continues to unfold as aftershocks continue and the recovery is blighted by lack of infrastructure. You can revisit some of our coverage here.
Despite the heap of problems the relief effort has faced so far, it is vital that assistance continues to flow into the country. And now for a shameless plug: a concert for Haiti will take place next Wednesday (3 February) at TUC Congress House in London. Organised by the Cuba Solidarity Campaign and the TUC, it will raise money for the TUC Aid Haiti Appeal. Ticket sales and donations are expected to bring in more than £100,000.
Among the headline names are Alan Rickman, Billy Bragg, Omar Puente, Tom Wilkinson, Tony Benn, Ken Loach, Frances de la Tour, Jean Binta Breeze and Benjamin Zephaniah.
Tickets and information about the concert are available on the Concert for Haiti website. Donations to the TUC Aid Haiti Earthquake Appeal can be made here.
