Republican candidate misspeaks in tribute to Wisconsin temple shooting victims.

Why is American politics tolerant of a narrow minded, dinosaur denying, flat Earth creationist in scratchy long johns, let alone dominated by such people?
What a wally. Unfortunately, working with Americans (And for an American company) on a daily basis, I experience the US-Centric mindset of my colleagues every day. It's part and parcel of the indoctrination of patriotism from an early age , which means that even well-educated Americans like those I work with seem to think the world is American. Respect for other cultures is not high on the agenda, the focus generally is on changing other cultures to fit into America's strategic ideals. They are generally good people, just blinded by their patriotism, and happy to believe what they are told to believe. It would be an absolute tragedy if the Romneyfarce brigade gets voted into office, not only for America but the rest of the world who have to put up with the empire building fallout.
A single slip-up could well be an accident, and we need to acknowledge that this sometimes happens to politicians jus as it does to other people. Making the same error twice, though - in addition to his growing catalogue of other errors - really does look like something else. Questions must now be asked about the poor quality of Republican candidates in general and why the party seems unable to attract anybody more suitable for such a role.
Republicans don't travel well.
Well thank goodness he hasn't curtsied a king.
So his spokesman excused this slip as coming at the end of the day when Romney was tired. Well, sorry, but how often is somnething like this going to happen if he's President, then - when the consequences could be disastrous?
A 'slip' that belies a high degree of ignorance or worse indifference. If Mitt really gets into gear maybe he can be his own Sarah Palin gaffegadget?
The Bush Boys always pronounced IRAQ - EYE-RAQ. Similarly, EYE-RAN. As with many Americans, there is only ONE country and then there is everywhere else, not worthy of study. Sadly, it didn't stop them being 'voted' in and I doubt that many of his followers give a monkey's about Sikhs and Sheiks.
I think he's just trying to say that people should not be disapprobated just because they are wealthy.
Which is fair enough.
Oh, that's because Romney is a hopelessly out of touch moron. But we were already painfully aware of this fact...
Was that a typo, surely you mean Romney is a hopelessly out of touch Mormon. Although, perhaps the two can be used interchangeably.
Haha, nice. well said.
Haha, well said.
This guy's so good-looking according to Clint 'Make my Day' Eastweed that he's a shoe-in for Prez office.
Yep, this hombre's way tall in the saddle. A Right-wing high falutin tootin' shootin' son of a gun from A****** ; can't quite recollect which state of the union - but it sure begins with an A.
Rag-time Cowboy Joe, sorry Mitt, is a great one to sing at the campfire on a round-up. Sons of the Prairie - you Tea-Party folks knows what I means.
And Mitt wears a white stetson too, And he rides a white bronco. Darn tootin' he do!
Sheik of Araby
err, no he doesn't. Try polishing your comic delivery in the mirror before trying it here.
Well, what did you expect? The guy's just another American who knows nothing about anything outside of his own country.
It beggars belief that this kind of flakey imbecile can garner votes across the USA. Every time the fool opens his mouth, he highlights his own lack of education. I just don't get it.
'The guy's just another American who knows nothing about anything outside of his own country.'
And not much about what goes on outside his tight little rich circle.
I said it when Bush Jnr was elected and I said it when Obama was elected and I say it again. You can't blame the moron in office, or as in this case running for office. He may be ridiculously stupid, and completely out of touch with the real world... But you can't blame him.
Blame the people voting for him who care more about the glitz and promotional nonsense rather than whether he will do a good job.
Politics should not be about celebrity.
You can blame the electorate if they elect an idiot. That doesn't make them any less of an idiot, and that is something for which the idiot is personally responsible.
The intelligence of US Republican presidential candidates - and their voters - knows no depths.
If, as is possible, Romney is elected in three months' time, the rest of the planet should be very afraid.
Oh well. He was endorsed by porno-star Jenna Jameson the other day. That should cheer him up. ;-)
