To her credit Michelle has a few more qualifications than Princess Di and could forge her own career like Cherie Blair and Hillary Clinton, without relying on position, if she wanted to. Michelle is a great role model for young black women.
Indians have always liked strong women, royalty, and materialism.

Diana was a dim, preening, inconsequential, solipsistic, press-baiting narcissist.

Michelle Obama is actually a person of substance who, while plainly at home with children and the work she crrently does, could achieve a great deal more, on her merit and in her own right.

It's ridiculous to compare them. They're two completely different--and unique people. Diana was very real in her own way. She truly came into her own, and unfortunately , died in her prime. It's unfair to compare them unfavorably--either way. They're both leaders in their own way. They're both beautiful women in their own way as well. There never will be a new Diana. She was her own person. Just as Mrs. Obama is one of a kind...her own woman.

And no she is not like Diana, who was empty headed idiot with nothing more to herself than wedding to royal family. She brought disgrace to the Queen and her family and had nothing to her self.

Michelle in that sense is quite opposite.
