Forcing the Queen to watch Danny from The Script cover Heroes in the Live Lounge makes the monarchy worthwhile

One clap.

By Media Mole

Every time there’s a big Queen story, your mole goes through a complex range of emotions. At first, disgust. What is it with this obsequious country of cringing subjects, celebrating an unelected, irrelevant institution that does nothing but parade horses around every now and again? Next, it’s acceptance. People like the Queen, fair enough, no harm done – just ignore the news for a bit.

But lastly comes delight. God save the Queen! For what greater sacrifice is there to make for one’s country than being forced to sit in Radio 1’s Live Lounge a few feet away from Danny from The Script performing a whiny cover of David Bowie’s Heroes? Topped off with a solitary clap, just for the nation’s entertainment? I love you, Queen. I love the degrading situations you end up in, for Britain, and for YouTube.
