World Review podcast goes twice-weekly

The New Statesman's global affairs podcast will now appear on Mondays and Thursdays.

By Jeremy Cliffe

As the New Statesman’s international team grows, so does our global affairs podcast. World Review launched in June 2020 and has recently hit new highs of 15,000 downloads a week. In light of this interest, we are delighted to announce that it will now appear twice a week.

The new Thursday episode will feature the New Statesman international team discussing and making sense of the biggest global topics of the day: Jeremy Cliffe, Megan Gibson, Alix Kroeger, Emily Tamkin and Ido Vock. The first of these is now available and features Emily, Alix and Philippa Nuttall, our Environment and Sustainability Editor, discussing the COP26 summit and the Covid-19 surge in eastern Europe.

The new Monday episode will be an interview with an external New Statesman contributor or other expert or commentator with a unique perspective of world events. The first, out this coming 1 November, is a discussion of climate change and the coming surge in global migration flows with author and strategist Parag Khanna.

If you’re interested in world affairs and want to join our growing community of listeners, there’s never been a better time to subscribe. As ever, all World Review episodes can be found on here and on all major podcast providers, including Apple, Acast and Spotify
