Wishful thinking for 2009

John Pilger

Published 18 December 2008

The good news for the new year is as follows

Wishful thinking for 2009

January: Tony Blair is arrested at Heathrow Airport as he returns from yet another foreign speaking engagement (receipts since leaving office: £12m). He is flown to The Hague to stand trial for war crimes for his part in the illegal, unprovoked attack on a defenceless country, Iraq, justified by proven lies, and for the subsequent physical, social and cultural destruction of that country, causing the death of up to a million people. According to the Nuremberg Tribunal, this is the "paramount war crime". The prosecution tells Blair's defence team it will not accept a plea of "sincerely believing". Cherie Blair, a close collaborator who has compared her husband with Winston Churchill, is cautioned.

February: Following the inauguration of Barack Obama as president of the United States, his predecessor, George W Bush, is arrested leaving the Church of the Holy Crusader in his home town of Crawford, Texas. He is flown to The Hague in War Criminal One. (See above for prosecution details.) Laura Bush, after a plea bargain, agrees to give evidence against the former president, "for God's sake".

March: Former vice-president Dick Cheney shoots himself in the foot hunting squirrels following a prayer breakfast in Hope, Florida.

April: Aung San Suu Kyi is released from house arrest and assumes her rightful place as the democratic head of the government of Burma.

May: All American and British troops leave Iraq, including the "300-400" British troops who are to stay behind to "train Iraqis" and do the kind of special forces dirty work almost never reported by embedded journalists.

June: All Nato troops leave Afghanistan.

July: The British government calls a halt to selling arms and military equipment to ten out of 14 conflict-hit countries in Africa. The chairman of the arms company BAE Systems is arrested by the Serious Fraud Office.

August: The British Department for International Development ends its support for privatisation as a condition of aid to the poorest countries.

September: Sir Bob Geldof and Bono visit Tony Blair in prison, suggesting a worldwide Crime Aid gig to raise money for their hero's defence.

October: The Booker prizewinner Anne Enright apologises to Gerry and Kate McCann, parents of the missing child Madeleine McCann, for speculating in the London Review of Books about the possible involvement of the McCanns in the disappearance of their daughter.

November: Gordon Brown is kidnapped, hooded and forced to listen repeatedly to his 2007 speech to bankers at a Mansion House banquet: "What you as the City of London have achieved for financial services, we as a government now aspire to achieve for the whole economy."

December: Tony Blair is sentenced to life imprisonment and beatified by the Pope.

If you think none of this will happen, you are probably right. But beware 2010 . . .

Dream on, Pilger!

Though yes, I agree. St Tony might rise again from the dead - even before 2010. That'll keep you tapping away for another year in your vain attempt.

£12 million since he went? what an empty shell of a man, I am remembering when he was interviewed for the job by Murdoch you knew he was a yes man and only in it for the pound sterling, socialist? like hell he was, his grandmother must be spinning in her grave.

Mid-April: Israel formally accepts the right of Palestine to exist, from the UN-mandated Green Line, and starts to pump in billions to support local cooperatives and build the Palestinian infrastructure, helped by the returnees from the EU and elsewhere.

Mid-June. The entire group of Non-Aligned Nations leave the UN in protest at the UNSC veto, and universally places full sanctions upon the developed/warfare-making nations until they agree to modify/lose the veto, so a majority vote can override a veto of measures to curb the superpowers' behaviour.

Mid-Aug. Beer gets cheaper.

In June the UN votes to make tax havens illegal. The extremely wealthy seriously think of ways to settle off planet.

A universal ban on cluster bombs and land mines is agreed in Geneva in September.

Early February

Gordon Brown announces a further £250 billion be pumped into the banking sector as collapse is immanent.

Mid March.

Banks tell Gordon Brown they have had enough and surrender. Brown sells the entire UK banking sector, except the CO-OP bank to a conglomerate from Georgia.

May

Brown is impeached for accepting free gas for life from Georgian Governmant. David Miliband wants to know why he didnt get a share of the free gas.

October: A coup in Baghdad restores the Ba'ath Party to power. US forces are encircled and annihilated.

Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, Saddam Hussein's deputy and successor, declares himself President of the Republic and Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council.

Mass executions follow. Ex-Prime Minister al-Maliki's corpse is dragged through the streets of Baghdad to the cheers of elated crowds.

John Pilger declares: 'Iraq has found her soul!'

November: George Galloway defects to Iraq and declares that he will devote the rest of his life to the service of the Revolution.

May 2010: George Galloway is found dead of jackboot-polish poisoning.

September: somebody finally explains to michaelpetek that actually the Iraqis LOATHED Saddam Hussein, and that the 'insurgency' is not to bring back the Baathists, but to get rid of the foreign occupiers.

and i suspect you would be hard pressed to find Pilger supporting the Baathists anyway, in fact he was being critical of them whilst most Western Govts were busy handing them WMD. But hey - everything can be rounded down to 'thesis, antithesis, and synthesis', right?

"my enemy is the friend of my enemy". Even primary school kids can spot the logical error in that.

October 2009: The Tories and the Lib Dems form a coalition government. Brown is banished to Fife where the natives feed him to Salmond. And all journalists are ordered to attend journalist college to learn how to REPORT the news.

Mr Cameron-Clegg said in stereo:

"There are already too many know-all little bloggers and journos on the internet. We need a few professionals who've left their political agendas where they belong - inside their tiny brains."

November 2009: The Daily Mail & New Statesman combine to launch a campaign to circumvent the constitution and bring back Tony Blair, the freedom-fighting former PM.

Tony Blair tells them to get st****d.

September 2010. After the Brown government had handed over our security to the Americans, via the sale of the nuclear deterrent in December 2008, the Tory/Lib Dem coalition decide it's time to sell of the journalists too.

Sadly there are no offers.

So they decide to sell off the voters to the USA instead. The Americans accept, so ensuring that Obama stays president for two terms, while the Tory/Lib Dem coalition gets on with running the country without too much interference from the electorate.

The Daily Mail, New Statesman et al are still begging Mr Blair to return to save us and bring back their readers.

This time Blair is less patient.

He tells them to *u** off.

BlairSupporter
20 December 2008 at 20:54

October 2009:

Things are getting desperate. The Tories are split over the EU - no, fancy that! The LibDems are split over PR now that Labour has imploded and they can have a real crack at the two-party system.

But then they both realise - there's not a voter left worth their salt. Oh yes, there's Gorgeous George. No, not a voter let worth their salt.

So they implore Blair to return and vote for one of them.

He agrees provided whichever he chooses makes him PM.

Then he can take the remaining Apathy Party voters into the euro. At last.

Mission accomplished.

'Bring back the voters', shout the apathetic.

And he does ....

Eventually.

21 December 2008 at 01:47

You think the last 4 months have been bad?LOL

In about 4 months time, the public will start to understand the economic REALITY. There will be no financial stability until the end of 2010, maybe later. We can expect no real growth until 2018.lol

This crisis will be worse than the 1930`s

So thats the reality bit over with.lol

Obama will be assassinated shortly after taking office. A nuke is droped onto a ship off the Israeli coast, but the MSM reports that it was on the ship. Isreal attacks Iran and Iran fires nukes at Israel (they have two). The US starts attacking Iran, Pakistan becomes unstable so India launches a nuclear strike on Pakistan. Reluctantly, China decides to break from the global economy and dumps US paper .lol

Towards the end of 2009, there is a global pandemic and 40% of the global population are dead. By the end of 2010, another 30% die from secondary infections and starvation.

Of course, this is calculated speculation,, and i have reached a point, where ANYTHING is possible.

Happy New Year.LOL

Nilsey105
21 December 2008 at 11:11

Carl

Ever the pessimist i see. lol

The first 3 months of the New Year are traditionally slow in terms of the economy. No difference this year.

The retail sector is going to be on its arse.

People by me are now paying, in the region of, £200 per month less for their mortgages, but they are saving it and not spending, This will fuel the downturn even more.

The result in demand is going to crash with resultant massive increases in unemployment.

Anything is possible but i just cant see Liverpool winning the Premier League. Lmao.

Aim high, then you won`t be disappointed.LOL

We are in "La La Land".lol The NWO could message us anything and the gullible public will swallow all sorts of crap. History has superceded fiction....Hollywood simply can`t compete.lol You even have a choice of NWO theaters...iraq/Afghanistan, the sham war on terror, the political farce, here and in the US, the designed financial crisis and staggering elite corruption and if you don`t fancy going to the theater, just switch on the TV and have a laugh at the news, especially the BBC news with their SIS briefed journos. Just look at the Newstatesman this week and for that matter, recent weeks, the subjects are weak, its almost as if they are fearful of stimulating serious debate.

£200 and its losing value and what ever has been gained, has been lost in terms of lost jobs and incomes and as you point out, people aren`t spending, so more jobs will be lost. by the end of 2010, we could have 4-5 million unemployed.

Container traffic has dropped by 25%! The global economy is in a much worse state, than is being reported by the MSM. its all part of the drip, drip release of bad news.

Bailing out the banks was the wrong thing to do. they should have been allowed to go bust and the money should have used by the government to open its own bank to lend to the public and businesses. In fact, i`d go further, we don`t need banks as we understand them today. We have lost all the globalisation motors, the Investment banks have gone, only two remain under changed status and they have no real right to still be around.

Mid January 2009

James Purnell, the Work and Pensions Secretary, has had his post within the government removed leaving him stranded and isolated on the back benches.

No single reason for his departure has been given but it is thought a number of calamities and slipshod events created his own downfall.

These events included his attempt to include in policy documentation an annual charge of 27% for emergency state aid to low income households.

Having denied the allegations Purnell claimed it was all a misunderstanding brought about by sloppy and shoddy drafting of the policy document.

As he would be the person to "sign off" any policy documentation he has admitted to being a sloppy and shoddy secretary of state.

Previous misdemeanors committed by Purnell include;

1. The agreeing to the insertion of a photograph of himself into a photo shoot at an event he had turned up too late for inclusion.

Mr. Purnell had previously admonished the BBC and Independent Television companies for their roll in the

"Quizgate" and consequent Lack of Public Trust in those organisations.

Charges of double standards towards Purnell soon flowed in the press.

2. The leaving of confidential "Red Box" documents on the Manchester to Euston train.

When questioned about the events Purnell denied what had been said, however, fellow passengers had taken photos with their mobiles and sent them to all and sundry. The evidence was there for all to see.

Where did you read that, carl? In the "MSM", per chance?

"Obama will be assassinated shortly after taking office."

You always say that, carl, but what on earth makes you think hes not "one of them"?! Just because he makes a nice speech and is black? You think the "NWO" couldnt have thought of that?

"I don`t want to be right,"

Yes you do. Youd love to be right as itd make you feel better for doing absolutely NOTHING with your life. Its a great excuse for failure. "The NWO stopped me having a good life!" And youd also be able to say "I was right!". Which would be nice. Itd be nice to be right for once, wouldnt it carl? But what if youre wrong? You dont actually have any proof, do you carl? Nice one Johnster. But one really must nominate Cheney to be tried at the Hague alongside Bush the Younger.

Shooting himself in the foot is too good for the manipulative turd who was the real Hand of Death behind the Bush debacle and who so sinisterly redefined the role of the VP.

Bush the Younger was a mere plaything to this dark puppet master.

muppet17 said,

"But one really must nominate Cheney to be tried at the Hague alongside Bush the Younger. Shooting himself in the foot is too good for the manipulative turd who was the real Hand of Death behind the Bush debacle ... "

And thus Cybertiger's 'Timeline for 2009' is as follows,

*March* Barack 'Hussein' Obama is shot by Dick Cheney in a tragically murderous shooting accident.

*April* Chief democrat within the SCOTUS, Justice Antonin Scalia, abolishes the death penalty for all accidental American assassins (AAA clan) - and by default for ALL murdering American scoundrels abroad.

*May* The American populace (Bah, ba, black sheep) take to the streets in protest at the abolition of state sponsored, heavily taxpayer subsidised killing.

*June* In a lavish coronation, Biggus Dickus Cheney is crowned Emperor of the evilEmpire and takes the name of 'Good 'God' Shepherd'.

*September* In a fit of demented syphylitic fury, the God Shepherd raises tax on oil to make gasoline prices commensurate with the UK. He intended this as a declaration of that special relationship between two nations of Empire. There is renewed rioting on the streets.

*January 2010* The bananaRepublic is declared a neo-Socialist state ... after the death penalty is restored and all oil taxes are abolished. The sheep are happy ... peace reigns over the flock.

"abolishes the death penalty for all accidental American assassins (AAA clan) - and by default for ALL murdering American scoundrels abroad."

Biggus Dickus Cheney and Barack 'Hussein' Obama? Making fun of peoples names again? Is this supposed to be mature??

BBC Panorama NWO/MI6 cover-up job!!! LOL

BBC Peston is clearly a NWO conduit. If I were to think outside the box, Peston`s in on it....another GILLIGAN.

Look at them all, sumg and smirking....and the real fun has yet to begin. Vince Cable doesn`t blame Peston, but the Government (SIS) leakers and Hecktor Sants the City whipping boy.LOL

Sir John Grieve gave a FANTASTIC performance, yes we did know the system was ------, but we didn`t want to ruin the PARTY!! LOL The reality is Mr Grieve, that BoE MPC decisions weren`t about the UK economy, no MPC decisions were about assisting the US with its debt interest payments.

David Walton was a star economist with the British Treasury, he moved to Gold Sacks (Sachs) and then moved to the BoE MPC, Walton died on the 21st June 2006 from "necrotising fasciitis" (add that to dead in the woods and falling down on Bens). Waltons last MOC meeting was on the 7/8th of June 2006, he was the only one of eight, who called for an interest rate rise and had done so for the last several months......

.....rate rises would have limited Britain`s exposure to the current economic construct....the government, BoE and FSA are crooks, pure and simple.

We should all be greatful to the BBC, for assisting these crooks with their defence, so willing tp give their contrived evidence under oath on the BBC!!!!!!!lol

Excellent wish list by John Pilger .. but unfortunately, pigs may fly.

The comparison by Cherie Blair of Tony Blair with our hero Winston Churchill is truer than you think - both are imperialists whose crimes involved the deaths of millions of women and children.

Thus Blair's version of imperialism is self-styled "democratic imperialism" aka democratic tyranny or democratic Nazism. Winston Churchill's version was old-fashioned, up-front, race-based, British or "White" imperialism.

Both were complicit in the deaths of millions. Thus Blair is complicit in the 9-11 million violent and non-violent excess deaths (avoidable deaths) associated (so far) with the Bush Wars, 1990-2008 (see "9-11 excuse for US global genocide. The real 9-11 atrocity: millions dead (9-11 million) in Bush Wars": http://mwcnews.net/content/view/25184/42/ ).

Churchill was complicit in the deaths of millions, and most notoriously with the deliberate, sustained, remorseless starving to death of 6-7 millions Indians in the 1943-1945 Bengal Famine ( see "Media Lying over Churchill's Crimes. British-Indian Holocaust ": http://mwcnews.net/content/view/26713/42/ ).

This particular most awful of Churchill's crimes (the Bengal Famine) has been largely white-washed from British history by egregious, sustained, continuing LYING by Anglo politicians, academics and journalists - as have been the continuing Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide of Bush and Blair.

For readers who have never heard of Churchill's WW2 Indian Holocaust, the man-made British atrocity in British-ruled India that killed 6-7 million Indians in the “forgotten” World War 2 Bengal Famine, see the recent BBC broadcast involving me, 1998 Economics Nobel Laureate Professor Amartya Sen (Harvard, formerly Cambridge), medical historian Dr Sanjoy Bhattacharya (Wellcome Institute, University College London) and other scholars: http://www.open2.net/thingsweforgot/bengalfamine_programme.h... ).

"So yeah, we're still "stuck" in that Hobbesian-era, we're the Queen Bee, King Bad-ass and we get to tell everyone what to do, but that's a good thing. We're not like, tyrannical and shit, we just understand the role of violence in politics."

"Well, America needs to stop pandering to these euro-pansies and they need to come over and give us a blowjob..."

"So yeah, Europe can take their transcendent, holier-than-thou, no-aggression, bullshit and they can revel in it. But us? We know that's not the only way to be happy."

My apologies JC3- obviously I misread your blatantly misleading gibberish. Its hard when you write so badly that no one can understand that actually youre not saying "we re fucking america" but rather youre saying "this guy who wrote this book which says, to summarise 'we re fucking america'". What a badly written post. When do your quotes end and your opinions begin? No idea.

when I was a schoolboy me mates wanted to be celebs like Nigella or Jamie but not me, Oh no. All I wanted to do in life was join the bra-fitting service at Marks & Sparks. yet despite this humble aspiration I have risen to a position of eminence far beyond anything that could be offered by pecuniary reward alone.

In fact I have even lately acquired a personalised number plate. At last I'm somebody not merely some bozo or sad bodkin haunting the virtual world's desolate chat rooms seeking out virtual chums in consolation of that which we must not speak of.

Perhaps now I can even take tea with Nigella and discuss her 'prodigious Pavlova' and other culinary creations if apposite.

On the whole I think I like this Pilger bod but is he any good with Pavlova?

Other idiots during the inevitable bust "its the end of boom! Now its bust all the way!!! I guess that means its the END OF THE WORLD!!!"

Sure. This is why capitalism overshoots- because millions of idiots think the boom/bust will last forever and act accordingly. Well its good news really- people who know its a load of bull can make good money from both booms and busts. Merry christmas, idiots!

carl: why would obama be a target when his entire cabinet are 'in-line'? Only to stir some big-time social unrest, surely? So possibly homeland security expansion... but actually, i don't think he will be. He's too useful a front, what with the black skin and all.

"Bailing out the banks was the wrong thing to do. they should have been allowed to go bust and the money should have used by the government to open its own bank to lend to the public and businesses."

as i recommended at the time.

however its all part of the 'Game' - the banks are prevented from lending, not only because the Govt has increased the capital reserves they must hold (a good move), but the very money they then handed to the banks has increased the debt burden of the banks, further preventing lending!

so the Govt in public demands the banks lend, and in private stops them from doing so.

so at least a fair part of this recession is deliberate, which bearing in mind Lord Mandy's admission on the news that NuLabour *knowingly* expanded this credit bubble based upon overly-inflated house-prices, add in Brown handing over £600,000,000,000 to the owners of the banks - which will drag the UK currency/economy down, as well as being a probably permanent debt 3rd world stylee - and we have a bunch of political leaders who...

words fail.

tell you what, i'd rather have a pot-smoking, single mum lesbian (don't ask!), covered in tattoos and a list of small convictions an arm-long, who actually CARES about the state of our Nation and its People, than these lilly-white, never-done-wrong holier-than-thou professional liars whose only goal appears to be making life Hell for as many as they can.

no more foreign wars, no more socially-destructive and anti-liberal legislation, no more spying and ever-present surveillance, no more high-and-mighty arrogance from our elected representatives thinking they are above telling the truth, no more lies and 'games' that destroy our Citizen's (& others) lives. gnuneo, Obama has an enormous weight around his neck which he can`t deliver on. So there are two ways to go, he`ll either be assassinated, or some NEW designed crisis will appear, as Joe Biden stated.

I would go with the second. If you checkout my comment on this weeks BBC Panorama up the thread and if you didn`t watch it, try to on iplayer.

gnuneo
25 December 2008 at 09:02

there is *always* a new crisis, that's how our political/media system has been designed.

what is interesting is how it is spun, or marketed.

Obama will be able to spin out the yanks for a good 3 years before they even begin to notice that bugger-all has changed - you might recall it took us Briton's almost 10years (was it that long?) before we finally spotted B'Liar was just a smug Tory git in a red tie.

and then the other wing of the Party will swing into action, creating a dreaded 'Republican' nemesis that will once again rally the Democratic faithful, even if they ARE disquieted, even disgusted, about the complete lack of any substantive change - well, in a GOOD direction anyway. Expanding America's war to cover Pakistan and Iran would obviously bring change, but not quite what the American people may have been led to expect.

it is possible he'll be assassinated - true of all US presidents - but i doubt it would be for any ideological reasons against Obama. He doesn't seem to HAVE any ideology, beyond "No Change" anyway.

frankly, they can create as many 'crisis' as they wish - as long as they keep it domestic. No more insane stunts like Georgia, no expansion of US Terror Wars, and if they don't get the message, it would be nice if the whole world closed ranks and placed sanctions upon the US. Yeah i know, not going to happen. Not *yet*, anyway.

...wouldn't that be an interesting 'crisis' for Obama to handle though? A multi-lateral, full spectrum sanctions regime on the US, until they dismantle their WMD stockpiles, and allow UN inspectors in to ensure they have all been destroyed.

hey - i can dream, can't i? ;)

(& followed by the same treatment for ALL WMD nations, including the UK).

I wonder if this will be the last great Christmas? You can buy a house in Detroit for $18,500...this is the average price.....21% unemployment! I see that some forward thinking financial pundits now believe, that over 1000 banks will go bust in 2009 and that at best, we will be left with just 5 super-banks.....thats a lot of assets in very few hands. Other pundits are predicting the complete collapse of the US economy/dollar IN SHORT ORDER.

Wasnt that why they voted for him?! The reason people got sick of him was mainly because of Iraq, wasnt it? Sure wasnt because he was too right wing!!! The British public, believe it or not, are actually pretty far to the right. Theyre not a bunch of socialists. Hence the fact that tories (including new labour tories) almost always win. The question for the next election is: who's the most tory? Its a tough question. Gonna be a close election.

As for America- theyre not looking for the kind of change that you want- they dont want some kind of a jump to the left. Theyre very right wing people. So why should obama swing to the left like people here want?? That wouldnt be very democratic, would it? It seems to me that what they want right now is a competant conservative. See, this is just such a tired old line that's been repeated SO MANY times by both sides. Havent you heard american conservatives complaining about "liberal bias"?! They go on and on and on and on about that. All the time. Its a real bore. Americans are conservative people- thats the truth of the matter. It takes a real lost cause for the supporters of that cause to start pathetically blaming the media.

And all the more pathetic when we re reading the newstatesman- one of the most moronically biased left wing magazines in england. Look at the front page! "why do you read it then einstein?"

Because, obviously, I like to get both sides of the story. You should try it- youd be more intelligent.

"but how does giving $6 billion a year to israel make true conservatives in the US feel AL?"

What on earth does Israeli aid have to do with how conservative americans are?!

But to answer your totally random, idiotic question: Im not in the US but Id say it depends on if theyre the idiotic religous conservatives (christians and jews tend to be more supportive of israel than others), and on a million other factors. Personally, I think its ridiculous. Why on earth is it relevant?! Focus on the subject please.

"define conservative because in the true sense of the word ron paul was the ultra conservative candidate for the presidency."

When I say "the majority of americans are conservative" I mean that the majority want a small state, low taxes, and a lack of government interferance. Yes I understand that it has different meanings. Why cares?! Quit nitpicking with words and focus on the substance.

"is the IRs a conservative body?"

Thats an idiotic question, and again totally irrelevant to what we were speaking about. What on earth are you talking about?! How is this relevant to whether americans are conservative or media bias?! Focus, please, on the subject. Pay attention!

"is the police state we and the US are both becoming conservative?"

Again, idiotic. Americans and British are totally against becoming a police state- if its happening then people will not like it. And again- focus on the subject, idiot! Quit randomly bringing up totally unrelated subjects!

"you really are a nerd and all those people who bullied you at school have a lot to answer for"

I never said I agree with everything that American conservatives do- quite the opposite in fact. I dont need to justify what american conservatives/ right wingers believe. Im not one of them. See the problems we get into when you lurch from one subject to the next? You assume that just because I say that Americans are conservative and so they should have a conservative government, that I must also back the Iraq war! Not at all. I have the same resentment for Bush that I do for Castro. And Castro is a real scumbag.

"perhaps so, but the average american is scared to death of al qaeda for example because he/she believes the hype."

That and the fact that they most probably were responsible for 3000 or so deaths on september 11th. Seems reasonable to me!

"now, i apologise for the insult AL, i was at the end of a bad day,"

"but i still debate the fact the being right wing doesnt make you a true conservative"

Never said it does.

Amerikans have never had a "big state". The only reason why they reject more government, is FEAR. Now Amerika is all government, the entire capitalist sector is bust. I was listening to BBC Radio 4, a banker said we are going to have a "hyperinflationary depression",which is what I have been saying for over a year.

This is the brainwashing....the MSM consistantly plays the catchup game. The US reported data which suggested the US had been in a recession for over a year...if this isn`t a conspiracy, I `d like to know what is.LOL

I was listening to another BBC Radio 4 programme yesterday about farming. This farmer summed it up very well. He breeds "Middle Whites" which are regarded a the best meat prioducing pig, he said they are always happy, ALL THEIR LIFE EXPERIENCES HAVE BEEN GOOD!! So when the ramp is dropped at the slaughter house, they are happy, they go down the ramp EXPECTING another good experience. Contrast this with mass produced pigs (ordinary humans), who have had NO good life experiences, when they get to the slaughter house and the ramp drops, they think, "OMG, now what are they going to do to us"?

This is modern life today in the West. The NWO will never deliver good news and for that matter, most of the bad things have been DESIGNED, such as the sham war on terror and the current economic collapse. Everything we have been told , has been turned on its head by the NWO and our puppet leaders.

Pilger is right about Obama and Fisk in the Independent said as much the other day...several ramps will drop in the New Year. The economy will significantly worsen and some NEW designed crisis will emerge. The chrch is right to question the governments economic policies. But the fact they have done so after the horse has bolted, is in reality a posturing exercise, so that when society starts to fall apart, the church can disassociate its self from the mess.

When hyperinflation arrives the MSM will say, "we didn`t expect this"!! LOL

Carl Jones
29 December 2008 at 13:32

purelogic....as usual, you miss the point..."the entire capitalist system is bust"...who thinks its bust??? This is the design, this is the NWO message. Do you really believe the ESTABLISHMENT wants US auto manufactures to survive? Did you really believe that Thatcher`s backers (NWO) weren`t behind the destruction of mining, car manufacturing, ship building and steel production?? Its like a box of Lego...there are vast opportunities when you see all the seperate blocks, but as you build, your opportunities deminish...as you appoach your last few blocks, they lose value. This is what has happened, the systen can`t afford new blocks, so the CONSTRUCT has to be broken up....we are the blocks, the NWO is the kid playing with them.

When I say the system is bust, this is a view held by few, I and a few others on here hold this position, because some of us can see whats coming. However, the general view put out by the MSM and politicos, is that there will be a recovery in 1 to 2 years time. This is the hope/stability ploy. At the mo, its deflation, but when hyperinflation come, it will be with a RUSH, this is so people will be caught out.

So I am using a range of perspectives, I could use a perspective that I`ve used many times in my comments...."capitalism hasn`t existed since the Raygun (Reagan) years, when he setup the PPT (Plunge Protection Team), so one should view the US as the worlds largest economy and that this economy and therefore the entire world economy has been played by the hidden NWO hand, the PPT....the Dollar has been unusually strong, and Gold has been strangely held down....this is the PPT at work...NWO insider dealing and it operates way above the law, so you see "purelogic", its all rather logical, we have different levels of debate and different perspectives.

The NWO knows whats its doing, its a construct, but to be honest, most can`t get their heads around the reality, or they bury their heads in the sand...where is your head? LOL

Carl Jones
29 December 2008 at 18:50

purelogic, in its purist form, yes. But its not that simple. The right/conservatives are more about change than socialism/communism. Thatcher ripped this country apart, this was part of globalisation and look what this has done to the world. The middle clases (Tories&Nulabour) are obsessed with global population growth, but these alledgdely clever/educated people fail to connect their perceived wealth, based on staggering personal/government debt and SUBSIDISED labor in Britain and the globalisation scam.

You could hardly claim a "status quo" in pay/income. The Tories and Blair are clearly on the right and most would say we are relatively poorer, than we were 30 years ago. Blair`s only claim to welcome fame, is the minimum wage....but this is nothing but a con-trick which subsidises those members of the middle class who run businesses....ITS A FIXED COST.LOL

We could debate conservatism and the MSM, right leaning governments have allowed a sorry slide into trash TV and BRAINWASHING sessions listening to Victoria jackboot Derbyshire on BBC Radio 5 Live....no education, no status quo.LOL

I am surely tempted to advise the CEO of Barclays Bank to tap up his Suadi m8s for some more funding as he wont be getting any from the British taxpayer. He spurned us once and wont get the chance again.

The other banks will be ok but now its going to be complete nationalisation. The tax payers are going to revolt if they dont get full control for more of their dosh.

A note on the unemployment figures;

Presently the figure of 2 mill seems correct, but thats only the appearance. The reality is plus the 2.5 mill on Incapacity Benefit. Then an additional 1 mill, conservative guesstimate, for 2009. Totals out at 5.5 mill at the end of 2009. That is a very conservative figure. And we aint even got into half time yet!

"purelogic, in its purist form, yes. "

conservatism is the belief that 'people are born bad', and requires strictness to get them to obey their elders, who have the wisdom'. Naturally, this tends towards conserving of the old/old ways.

always an essential part of Society if the society is not to forget its past, its roots, its continuity and internal stories, but should not exclusively be in charge.

the 'Conservative' parties in both US & UK have however since the late 70s NOT been conservative, they have been radical High Modernists, centralised control freaks, neo-liberal (feudal wealth-centralisers), and profoundly anti-democratic (the cornerstone of High Modernism).

true conservatives would have opposed the foreign wars (especially s they were deliberately started by the Elites, and were entirely avoidable), they would have opposed the construction of the Wallmart megalith as it destroyed not only the small mom-and-pop family chemist stores in every town, but also destroyed the local manufacturing base that supplied them, they would have opposed the relaxation upon environmental controls, and would have been forefront in the fight to save the environment (why many Greens are also conservative), they would even have cared about the incomes and living standards of normal workers, citizens - it would have been a source of pride how little poverty there was in their nation.

they would also have opposed the deregulation of the financial sector. And *not* just *AFTER* the event!

conservatism, in its radical form, even moves as far as the notion of Citizens Democracy, where not just homes are owned by the people living there, but also companies. This is what was embodied in the old American Dream, every man (person) a Free Citizen, beholden to no one, neither slave nor slave-holder, an equal participant in both the political, religious and economic Liberty guaranteed by the Constitution.

conservatism has many noble aspects, very much unlike those who currently attempt to claim its mantle.

Most of what has happened during the last 10 years wouldn`t pass for a Hollywood "B" script, yet the people swallow the NWO lies as if it were candy. The MSM shouldn`t be reporting that the church disagrees with the government bailout, no, the MSM should be saying "why has it taken you soooo long to speak out"?

Instead of a place with quality, the site in coming to resemble a moronic cesspool, full of bile and people emptying their spleens of invective and abuse.

This constant bullying, baiting and name-calling directed at Carl by Antileft, is really unpleasant and distasteful, and it just goes on and on and on. It's manic.

Antileft's hectoring, bragging, arrogant, tone of triumphant superiority, compared to mere mortals, has many of the characteristic traits of the classic sociopath; overweening pride, lack of conscience, the feeling that one is outside or above the laws that 'ordinary' people are subject to, an excessive belief in one's own abilities, the inflated egotism hiding and compensating for a deepseated insecurity about one's real worth... I could go on, but surely it's obvious that this person Antileft is a profoundly disturbed individual who arguably needs professional help and medication.

Does one really come to the New Statesman to read this kind of rubbish? Is this what one expects? Surely there's a need to moderate this site, impose some kind of intellectual dicipline? I am not asking for political censorship, only minimum standards of decorum, and taste.

These personal attacks on Carl are unworthy and have absolutely no relevance to anything being discussed on these threads. Why is he allowed to continue targetting CarlJones?

If the NS insists on giving him so much space, for whatever unfathomable reason, surely the rest of us could simply ignore him in the New Year and not feed his ego and desire for attention and noteriety? I'm talking about a form of quaranteen I suppose, or sending him to Coventry. i don't blame immigrants, i blame the neo-liberal Govt for refusing to modernise the UK economy, and refusing to invest in new start-ups that *can't* be co-opted and exploited by the multi-nationals. Within reasonable limits, *any* healthy economy should be able to absorb numbers of immigrants and migrants - the fact that our economy is so moribund that it apparently cannot, i lay the blame entirely upon the corrupt and incompetent bastards in Whitehall, Parliament and Downing St.

as for renationalisation... i regard it as a half-way house. It is infinitely better to have nationalised services than to have such essential services in the hands of rapacious profiteers, who care not one whit for Quality of service - except as can be spun to give them more profits.

however as far as i am concerned, the *best* solution for virtually all services is to have them as private capitalist partnerships - run by the workers, for the communities they themselves live in. Ironically, in the supposedly 'less developed' world, as the spectacular failures of the multi-nats to run essential services such as water etc became obvious, these services *were* taken over and run by the communities or workers. Although as the depression bites deeper, i would only be surprised if Britons did NOT do the same, when prices are climbing by 25-50% every year - merely to give higher profits for the multinats -, whilst household incomes stagnate or fall, even us 'stoic' Britons will one day say "enough is enough!". God, i hope so, anyway. Surely we haven't become THAT spineless and sheep-like we will watch our children die of dysentery before standing up to the corporations.

i trust rational self-interest and communities long before i trust politicians and corporate goons.

Nilsey105,

I just really dislike bullies and their methods. It's a form of intimidation, primative and tiresome. It's like the school playground all over again.

What I don't understand is how someone who is so obviously lacking in understanding, education and intelligence can have such an inflated opinion of themselves and such contempt for others. A person who doesn't understand the meaning of simple words and concepts and brandishes their ignorance and lack of understanding like badge of honour, it's extraordinary!

The idea that someone with such limited intellectual abilities would come here to 'debate with people that are less intelligent than I am' is perversely laughable. How very droll! It reminds me of someone carrying a sign around their neck which states that 'I'm very, very, stupid and ignorant, but don't tell anyone else!'

Who on earth would want to debate with people less intelligent than themselves, what for? What would be the point? To point out the errors in their ways and thoughts? Surely the less intelligent wouldn't be intelligent enough to understand any of this, so the super-intelligence master would be wasting his time and effort? Pearls thrown before swine?

And all this continuous name-calling and endless provocation. It's ridiculous. Embarrassing. Comical in grotesque fashion.

The world is so full of violence, stupidity, arrogance and ignorance, so much senseless hatred and viciousness; should one accept it here too? Do we really need more hate-speech? I'm really sick of it, week after week.

I wouldn't mind so much if there was anything worth arguing about, only there isn't. It's always so childishly primative and lacking in understanding. So superficial and primative. Not challenging, just very irritating. Like having to explain elemental concepts in maths to a very stupid child. But then one stops and thinks that he can't help it. He doens't understand how stupid he is, poor chap, he needs help, but not the type one can get here.

the 3rd way is that the People wake up to their peril, and the total lack of a decent direction by the current crop of 'elected leaders', and choose a completely different direction for the country. Say perhaps voting Green, en masse.

the other main parties all offer identikit policies, no matter what vague pre-election promises they make.

there is not ONE person on this planet that understand *everything* - that i can utterly and completely guarantee you. Yet most, when presented with facts, and good, decent and honest analysis, tend towards finding the highest quality choices.

this is *exactly* why the MSM constantly lie to us, that - and the fact that if the journalists told the truth, they would have their careers blighted.

but what the net has given us, in potentia and also actuality, is the X-files dictum writ large - "The Truth Is Out There."

I am of the opinion that the renationalisation of all utilities is essential.

The debate of how they should be managed has to be aired and will be a long drawn out affair.

Each individual company/ organisation has to make a surplus for purposes of future investment. And this investment has to be a realistic figure.

I would contend that all small companies be left to run on a system similar to the way they are at present. The exact detail ,figure,of what makes a small business is open for debate.

Public transport should be managed under the umbrella of county wide institutions similar to the old municiple organs of control.

Immigration is not a problem. We no longer have the jobs available to support large influxes of labour. And the new controls over welfare payments will put off many economic immigrants. There must be, always, places freely available in our society for the refugees and political asylum seekers etc.

There's masochism here and craving for attention, any kind of attention. The scream of the hysteric, the stamping of tiny feet in rage. There's probably a sexual element involved in all this, as 'kicks' are often a substitute or stimulous for sexual gratification or the lack of it. It's rather sad in a way. stephen
31 December 2008 at 06:56

Yes you're the very last, our survival instinct.

I think to counteract that basic animal instinct we need

a partner, a helper in our lives and children for us to

flourish and to love, and to pass on ourselves.

We need not only to recognise the value of this but

also to be this. There is no perfect balance between

giving and receiving for we each have our own fate.

Suffice to say that if we give something of ourselves

we will receive something in return, and that giving is

not purely monetary. There are many things we can

give that do not require money.

We can not just consume because we end up as pure

greed, and nobody wants to know us. If we take too

many drugs we get rejected even by the people who

are closest to us. This does not mean that we

shouldn't take any drugs but we should be careful

about the type and quantity of our consumption. All

drugs are addictive in some form, cannabis is a lot

more dangerous than you think. Alcohol can also be

dangerous but it gets out of your system quicker.

Buddhism will allow you to have greater control of this

aspect of your life because it enables you to have a

'quieter' mind. You can still laugh and joke and a beer

or two but you don't need to go overboard.

Once you have this kind of control many good things

will come from you and in turn you will receive many

things that will make you happy and those who cross

your path happy. This does not mean that you have to

deny yourself material things but it also means that

you do not judge your life purely on these things. Nor

do you judge the lives of others in this manner.

Each of us will find our own balance. For some of us it

is better to have less than more. It feels really good

not to have any desire to possess something. But at

the same time it feels good to be given something.

In society as a whole you need to look at the children

and help them reach a 'quieter' state of mind, and a

harmony with others. Much more swimming, dancing

and skating time.

stephen

Britain should have look at the way some of the

Japanese schools are, and what is happening in New

school doing activities such as singing together

(doesn't have to be hymns), dancing (especially

partner style, boys and girls) and ice and roller

skating. These will make them feel really good about

themselves and each other. Visits by Buddhists or to

temples can help children. There is no need for

conversion as you don't need to believe in Buddha or

anything. You're just got to do certain things and good

things will come from that.

Adults need to be encouraged to do similar things. To

hang around the office after five o clock is counter

productive not only to themselves and their work, but

also to their family. Lunch times should be at least

one hour with time to swim or something, to refresh. if

possible showers and food should be provided by

My resolution for the New Year is to try to totally ignore Antileft. It's the mix of venom, arrogance and US teenage-speak I can't stand. This absurdity that he's somehow a person of outstanding intelligence 'debating' with people who are on some lower level of understanding compared to him, now that's so comical.

And this constant and primative desire to pin superficial labels on everyone; commie, lefty, idiot, moron, fool and on and on... If only the world were so simple and these labels signified anything anymore. Using the political terminology of the twentieth century, movements and forms of politics that vanished decades ago, seems odd to me.

We are in a period of flux, or rapid, revolutionary change in the way we live. We need new 'labels' to describe the times we live in, which makes things very difficult as understanding what's happening around us is hard to define. For example, what kind of society is the UK? Is it really a democracy anymore? Surely democracy, which in itself is a highly complex and contradictory concept, open to constant debate; surely democracy needs an active and powerful citizenry? After all in a democracy power is supposed to come from and ultimately reside with and in the people, it's what the word 'democracy' means after all!

But do the people have real power? Perhaps. Once every four or five years at election time, but what about the rest of the time? So a form of democracy exists in the UK, but it's highly ritualised, controlled and managed.

What do I believe? I don't know is the simplistic answer. I don't think I believe anything, not really. The more I know the less I believe, especially about politics.

I don't know where I am on the political spectrum and I don't care. I'm very suspicious of political ideology like organised religion. I don't believe that what I believe is important to anyone. Why would it be? Just another primative box to put people in, another worthless label.

Most people do not conform to these primative labels anymore. We are in era of rapid change. Old 'classes' are disappearing and new ones are emerging. Political loyalties are often based on one's 'class' yet their is a time-lag involved as well.

In Germany, for example, there is concern that the traditional 'middle-class' is changing and shrinking. In the East one has a growing middle-class, yet they are politically orientated towards the Left to a far higher degree than in the West of Germany. The balance in society is beginning to move 'leftwards' and what consequences will this have for social stability, as the middle class has always been seen as a bulwark against the 'revolutionary potential' of the traditional working-class.

Just one of the things that makes modern Western society so complex is the move away from traditional democracy towards a new form of society. Very simply put this means a rapid polarization in society. Again, in Germany one can see that the rich are becoming richer and there are more of them. The number of poor is growing at the bottom, and the people in the middle are also under intense pressure economically, though far more are moving downwards than are joining the rich.

It's this pauperisation of the middle-class that's seen as a real threat to the stability of society, especially in times of economic hardship. The middle class not only have educations and ideas they also have the desire to rule and could in fact take over from the traditional leaders of society given the chance. So all over the Western world there is concern about the 'radicalisation' of increasing numbers of the middle-class who no longer identify their interests with those of the ruling elite.

I'm not interested in what people believe in a narrow sense. I'm interested in what they know, how they see and understand the world around them which is so complex and where there is so much confusion and change. How does one make sense of it all?

And they work perfectly well in the present day- which is why journalists- including pilger here- use them just as much as they always did. Youre the only one with a hang up about it.

"Is it really a democracy anymore?"

Well, in that the system hasnt changed fundamentally for a very, very long time, Id say that if it was once then OF COURSE IT IS. What a stupid, pretentious question.

"What do I believe? I don't know is the simplistic answer. I don't think I believe anything, not really."

Well then who cares what you think?! Go back to the fields and quit rambling- people who dont know what they believe shouldnt debate- they should clean floors etc.

"Old 'classes' are disappearing and new ones are emerging."

They always have!!! So what?! Doesnt mean people cant have opinions!

First off you don't have to make sense of it all. Also

you don't have to believe in anything.

The other thing is that not all Western societies are the

same. Here in Australia it is much more egalitarian.

There are richer and poorer people but there's a great

deal more interaction, and less judgement about

people's status. You go to barbqs and there could be

a doctor talking to a cleaner to a lorry driver to a

teacher etc etc. It doesn't matter who you are,

especially inland where I live. People aren't really

judged by their occupation or their wealth. The whole

atmosphere is different. it's very friendly, jokey and

the pace of life is so much slower. There are no traffic

jams. And the opportunity is greater to do your own

thing. But it also depends on your own 'state' of mind.

Of course there is crime but its usually at nights by the

bars. Nowhere is perfect but I know a lot of English

people here who prefer it.

I think it has a lot to do with the numbers of people and

the ability of people to move from place to another.

Many people have cars because they are so

affordable.. me dad said he used to cycle from

Liverpool (Bootle) to the Lake District and back in a

day and there were thousands of people doing it. Few

people could afford cars. That was in the fifties. What

this means is that regional communities get broken up

as people commute huge distances. And people

know that it is much easier for other people to commit

crimes in one area and be a hundred miles away in

the next hour on the motorway. This creates a kind of

unease. Then you have huge numbers of people from

overseas breaking up regional communities even

more. Last time I was in the UK in 2006 it felt like one

big city.

There was still bits of what it was like in the 60s and

70s but there was definitely more of a feeling of

'dissatisfaction', for want of a better word. With the

older people especially.

I feel that for me and my wife, also from England, and

my children our future lies here. I can see the

divisions in the UK society, and understand the

frustration that a lot of people are feeling. And the

solution is not easy. Ultimately you've got to look for

solutions. The reasons why and the labels you put on

them don't really matter, certainly not in comparison to

what should be done. In a way it is easy from a

distance but can also be harder.

One thing is to try to change the mind set of people.

Obviously this can not be done overnight. Intelligence

in the UK seems to be equated with academic

success, but this is silly because you can fail one year

and pass the next. You can even practice IQ tests to

get better scores. This perception divides people .. 'oh

he's thicko. I'm smarter than you cos i got an A and

you a B. People just have different abilities and skills.

There is no skill that proves you have more

'intelligence' than other people. This whole

perception needs to be debunked.

Then there is the wealth perception.. I'm better than

you (more intelligent) because I've got more money.

Well what about that dustman who won the lottery?

You know the one I mean. kept on getting done for

assault! It doesn't really mean anything.

I too have worked in Japanese schools. In fact I've

taught in over fifty. There are lots of different ones.

The successful ones have a very strong sense of

community, and that's why their behaviour is very

good. I'm not going to debate what you mean by rote

and creative learning is because it is not as simple or

clear cut as people imagine. Also the kids usually

start about 9 and finish at 3, after 3 they do

sports/activites or go home. To me that's only 6 hours.

Sure some teachers almost live there but they only

actually teach about 12 hours a week. I'm thinking

about the strong community spirit and cooperative

classroom, that's what we should try to emulate. How

to acheive that.

Why are you always on the cusp of hysteria? Why are you so quick to call other people 'idiots' 'fools' ect? Why are you so abusive? You are always demanding that people bow to you ridiculous demands that they answer you're trite, superficial, 'questions' You're agression is so tiresome, so childish.

You don't appear to understand the words you use, that's why I question your use of them. You need to get a dictionary and look at what these words mean before you use them. It's difficult, if not impossible, to debate with someone who misuses and doesn't understand common phrases, yet at the same time attacks others for being idiots, your favourite phrase. Everyone is an idiot accept you. That is a sign of mental illness, not superior intelligence.

You need to think more and develope humility. Overweening arrogance in someone that so clearly lacks knowledge, wisdom and education, is comical, rather than impressive. Most highly intelligent people I've met in my life have been quite modest, not braggarts, struting around pissing on other people and blowing their own trumphet, shouting about how intelligent they are compared to others.

At the time I had a resting pulse of 38 (now 65 at rest). I used to coach and run a public sports centre, as in part of the management team. I had a bad back for many years, they couldn`t find the problem and touch wood, I`ve been free of pain for over 5 years.

Premiere of Pilger's 'Palestine is still the issue' - Electronic Intifada, 10 September 2002

"...John Pilger's documentary 'Palestine is still the issue' had its premiere today in London at the Institute of Contemporary Arts. After showing their latest film, both Pilger and his producer Christopher Martin appeared on stage and took questions..... Pilger wrote in the New Statesman, 'if you got your news only from the television, you would have no idea of the roots of the Middle East conflict, or that the Palestinians are victims of an illegal military occupation.'

The film sees Pilger return to the Middle East, twenty-five years after first reporting from the region, to ask why Palestinians are still refugees in their own land and to explore the effects of the Israeli occupation on the day to day lives of ordinary Palestinians..... http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article655.shtml

Palestine is Still the Issue - a documentarey by John Pilger, 2006 (52 min.):-

"...what the occupation did for us..... it reduced us into enemies..."

"...occupation has become the cancer that is eating the lives of both people..."

In Palestine, a War on Children - by John Pilger, June 15, 2006

"The reason Israel fears Hamas is that Hamas is unlikely to be a trusted collaborator in subjugating its own people on Israel's behalf. Indeed, the vote for Hamas was actually a vote for peace. Palestinians were fed up with the failures and corruption of the Arafat era. According to the former U.S. president Jimmy Carter, whose Carter Center verified the Hamas electoral victory, "public opinion polls show that 80 percent of Palestinians want a peace agreement with Israel."

How ironic this is, considering that the rise of Hamas was due in no small part to the secret support it received from Israel, which, with the U.S. and Britain, wanted Islamists to undermine secular Arabism and its "moderate" dreams of freedom. Hamas refused to play this Machiavellian game and in the face of Israeli assaults maintained a cease-fire for 18 months. The objective of the Israeli attack on the beach at Gaza was clearly to sabotage the cease-fire. This is a time-honored tactic..." http://www.antiwar.com/orig/pilger.php?articleid=9144

Martin Luther King recognised this when he linked the human rights of black Americans with the human rights of the Vietnamese, then being slaughtered by a "liberal" Democratic administration. And he was shot..... Colin Powell, was used to "investigate" and whitewash the infamous My Lai massacre. As Bush's secretary of state, Powell was often described as a "liberal" and was considered ideal to lie to the UN about Iraq's non-existent weapons of mass destruction. Condaleezza Rice..... has worked assiduously to deny the Palestinians justice.....

Obama's first two crucial appointments represent a denial of the wishes of his supporters on the principal issues on which they voted. (VP) Joe Biden, is a proud warmaker and Zionist. Rahm Emanuel, who is to be the all-important White House chief of staff, is a fervent "neoliberal" devoted to the doctrine that led to the present economic collapse and impoverishment of millions. Hamas is actually at war against an enemy occupation of 60+ years, not making reactionary demonstrations, but you might find that the Maciavellian manipulations of the British authorities actually means that they have been effectively at war with the British people for ages.

That IS what the art of war is all about and winning at any cost is always on the agenda as well as live and let die. And thus it is not the banksters who are the real enemy so much as the people in power at the top who (a) knew what was happening and what was going to happen over the past 30+ years, and (b) are the ones who are totally inept, incompetent and irresponsible in their failures as regulators and legisaltors.

Carl Jones, oh, the US does wish another "NWO sacrifice" to cover its guilt over what else it is about to do - printing money to cover the fact that it hasn't got any, introducing hyper-inflation following deflation to evaporate the debt it cannot afford to ever repay, uhh.

The banksters have of course been part of the game but they could have been stopped if the regulators had wanted. Any attempted action was derailed years back. Its all been arranged by the denizens of the black lagoon (err, I mean Jackson Hole, Wyoming) and their club for ages.

Additionally, though, this all prejudices the operation of the military-industrial complex and that IS a monster which doesn't want to be interfered with, whether in the USA or elsewhere.

Interesting what you mention about Fallujah in view of the fact that (a) Hamas might have acquired anti-armor IED's now, and (b) "...Israeli officials said Hamas had also acquired dozens of Iranian-made Fajr-3 missiles with an even longer range. Many feared it was only a matter of time before the nuclear installation at Dimona, 30km east of Beersheba, falls within Hamas's sights. Dimona houses Israel's only nuclear reactor and is believed to be where it stores warheads for its nuclear missiles..." http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24866270-...

Its not hyper-inflation we have to worry about.

Its hyper-deflation we need to avoid.

But i am afraid its just arrived on our door steps as we speak.

Pubs are offering meals for a pound per person and booze at a pound per pint or glass of wine.

As these prices are dropped by the pubs so people will avoid buying them in the hope that next week they will drop to 50pence for the same meal and drink.

And on and on the ever decreasing spiral will go till they all go POP like the over inflated ballon.

I think you read for too much into IT. As per BBC link, Brown says no risk of inflation (hyperinflation) in this "time period"....deconstructed, we are in a time period of deflation (which will force wages down). What Brown is saying here, is that our NWO agenda is publically focusing on the "NOW" and I (Brown) am not prepared to talk about the next "time period"....when he could be leaving his "NWO front of office desk job".LOL

Its all a "CONSTUCT" and all of you are missing the point and likely doing so, because the reality is, that you are all, to some degree, "embedded" in the system.LOL

Around August/September 2007, I must have heard/read 20-30 MSM reports that the "BRIC" countries "WERE DECOUPLED" from the West....another NWO MSM lying message....over 60,000 factories are expected tp close in China...container ships which cost £40,000 per day, are now fetching £1,700 per day....the shelves will soon start going bare and with all this debt money being pumped into the system, we are going to have "HYPERINFLATION"....so high unemployment, falling wages, empty shelves, higher taxes and HYPERINFLATION....and the reason why the NWO wants this senario.....because they want to inflate themselves out of debt....especially the US/UK.

"YOU" can think IT, but make no mistake, the same elite that was in place during the 20`s was still in place in the 50`s...after their DESIGNED DEPRESSION/SECOND WORLD WAR and they will still be in control in 2020. Puppets like Obama and Brown will be gone....but the NWO will still be pulling the strings, but the world population will be under 2 billion by then and we really will be in the age of the machines....just look at the preditor r/c killer...the REALITY is, we don`t need commercial pilots, one ground based pilot/controller can fly 10 commercial plans at once. 6.5 billion people are not in the recovery equation, so gey your heads around IT. :)

Carl Jones - 03 Jan: "US/UK puppets, its a big game....Hamas and the wider Palistinian population have been infiltrated. Iran will only be arming Hamas..."

You misunderstand, Carl Jones, it is this blog which has been infiltrated - by some fool from down under. Talking about one of her films once, Indian director Mira Nair did warn us of "stupid Australians" who she merely used for effect when nothing serious was happening.

But there are two other games bing played. One is ostensibly under the control of the Americans but it won't stay that way as it involves M.East countries relating to each other apart from what the Great Satan spouts from "the seven hills of Rome" (the G7, now whatever). The Arab world is currently undergoing a change as well and the map that was drawn post WW2 is not going to stay that way - and the current 'shahs' loyal to the already-outdated NWO will be deposed.

Apart from that, the People of Palestine ARE Hamas and the People of Lebanon ARE Hezbollah. These are not simple political ambits which can be 'decapitated' at will. That is, they can't be infitrated, only split and that has already happened with Fatah and Abbas playing an ever smaller game. And the game that Iran is playing is like Saddam's game only their main ally is Russia, not the USA, and they are a theocracy, not a corporate republic. Thus they cannot be bought off like Egypt or S.Arabia.

The "wishful thinking" is that the EU wil have its gas delivered from Iran or Russia as well as its oil despite their own foolery in endlessly trying to manipulate and scheme to 'control' things that don't need to be controlled for the sake of some tiny mini colonialist settler society of 7 million who they have ridiculously naive PC assumptions about from the 1940's. The Arabs have been traders for longer than Britain has existed as a state but they won't go on having Christendom's fake morality shoved down their throats.

But hang on a second Carl- Im the only one who's actually engaging your little ideas here- and youre avoiding it. I keep asking questions about "the NWO" and you keep dodging. Im sure many others would also like to know if the NWO are a group of shape shifting lizard men, as David Icke says. So why arent you engaging?? Perhaps because youre not trying to engage in a serious exchange of ideas- youre just trying to invent a big fantasy to make yourself feel better- because its easier than sorting yourself out mentally. I agree with Stephen- you need more exercise, less tv, better food, a more wholesome life.

It's you who's not engaging- you just blabber but dont reply to legitimate questions. That's why I end up poking fun of you personally- you always dodge the tough questions or make some silly little comment with "LOL" at the end before starting another ramble. You need to sort yourself out, Carl, seriously.

But what are we in ever voting for either of two camps of self-serving psychopaths? How clever are we in judging when we have all been suckered into a 'pea and thimble' trick from childhood? Our institutions are there to serve them, not us. In the end, we have merely served their egos - and are ultimately left with the bill, whether in economic terms as NOW or in the 1930's or in military terms as in 1914 and 1939 and so forth.

As the title of this topic deals with the future and our transition form previous events, lets look at things from a paraphrased Japanese anime context, "Shin seiki Evangelion Gekijô-ban: Shito shinsei".....

The story of Evangelion begins in 2008 with the "Second Impact", a global cataclysm which almost completely destroys the World Bank and leads to the deaths of half the human population of Earth. The Impact is believed by the public and even most of UNerv to have been the impact of a meteorite causing devastating tsunamis and a change in the Earth's axial tilt (leading to global climate change) and subsequent geopolitical unrest, nuclear war (the nuking of Damascus and Cairo and Teheran), and general economic distress. Later, Second Impact is revealed to be the result of contact with and experimentation on the first of what are collectively dubbed the Angels: Adam. The experiments were sponsored by the mysterious organization Seeley Dan, and carried out by the research organization Gehirn Reich (GB).

Evangelion: Death - the first part of the film (1995) covers the fight against the invading giant robots known as Angels. The only defence against them is the Nerv organisation's EVAs, giant biomechanical robots piloted by humans.

Evangelion: Rebirth - reveals why humanity and the Angels cannot co-exist: the Angels were not aliens but failed attempts by the organisation Seele (German for "soul") to move humanity onto a higher plane of evolution by subsuming all individual souls into one giant soul - a plan known as the Human Instrumentality Project..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRyo0FoKzqM

FreedomLand
05 January 2009 at 11:11

But to continue to The End of Evangelion and life as we know it, lets attempt some "wishful thinking" for 2009 and beyond.....

In the year 2010, GB had accomplished a number of its scientific and engineering goals and corporately changed into the paramilitary organization UNerv which is headquartered in ME-3, a militarized civilian city located on one of the last dry sections of the Ancient Land; UNerv's central mission is to locate the remaining Angels predicted by Seeley Dan, and to destroy them. However, UNerv has its own secret agenda, as directed by its Machiavellian commander Gendo Ikari Moon: the Human Instrumentality Project, which, according to Gendo is the task of uniting all human minds into one global spiritual entity. Associated with UNerv is the Marduk Institute named after the "solar calf" and patron deity of the city of Babylon, which has the task of selecting the pilots for the Evas, the most capable being children conceived after the Second Impact. The institute consists of Commander Ikari Moon, and UNerv's chief scientist Ritsuko Akagi Kimchi; supporting the two are 108 ghost companies.

As the first episode opens in the year 2009, Gaza is being attacked by the third Angel. Conventional weapons prove ineffective, largely due to its projected force field called Truth. UNerv takes command of the battles, and is able to intercept and defeat the Angels using the Evangelions (Evas), biomechanical mecha previously developed in secret by GB inside the Geofront located underground and underneath the Ancient Land....

Oh, yes indeed, #amanfromMars, "quantitative easing" is the term being used for printing money regardless - and this is why M3 money supply figures are now confidential. What did the Weimar Republic call it then in the 1930's???

Quote: Quantitative easing, a way to flood the banking system with large amounts of money, "is a way to mimic below-zero rates and provide support to the economy,".....

The process often involves buying up large quantities of assets from banks, such as the Fed's latest programs to buy mortgage-backed securities.....

"If it were not constrained by zero ["official interest rates already effectively at zero..."], those models would want to push it below zero, but that's not possible," Evans told reporters after a panel at the American Economic Association's meeting in San Francisco.....

"I believe a BIG stimulus is appropriate," Evans said [gleefully - smell a rat?]. "But it is sobering to be deploying large amounts of taxpayer funds at a time when our fiscal balance sheet is already coming under significant stress." http://www.reuters.com/article/ousiv/idUSTRE5021V320090104?s...

But for the more serious-minded - Fed has abandoned monetary policy, critic says: (Reuters) - "The Federal Reserve has embarked on a campaign of unsupervised industrial policy to end the country's financial crisis, a move that could undermine its independence..... John Taylor, who was under secretary of treasury for international affairs...., said the explosive growth of the Fed's balance sheet since September was "unbelievable."

"This doesn't really seem like quantitative easing in the sense of finding a growth rate in the money supply..... "What you are looking at now is really being determined by other considerations. How much should we buy of mortgage-backed securities? How much should we loan to foreign central banks? This is really more like an industrial policy,"..." http://www.reuters.com/article/ousiv/idUSTRE50306H20090104?s...

Quote: "Americans must prepare themselves for a massive collapse in the dollar as investors around the world dump their US assets, a former Bank of England policymaker has warned..... the dollar had been kept elevated in recent years by what some called "dark matter" or "American alpha" - an assumption that the US could earn more on its overseas investments than foreign investors could make on their American assets. However, this notion had been gradually dismantled in recent years, before being dealt a fatal blow by the current financial crisis..... "The past eight years of imperial overstretch, hubris and domestic and international abuse of power on the part of the Bush administration has left the US materially weakened financially, economically, politically and morally," he said. "Even the most hard-nosed, Guantanamo Bay-indifferent potential foreign investor in the US must recognise that its financial system has collapsed..." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/4125947/Willem-Buiter-war...

Oh, Condoleeza Rice said..... but does anyone really believe that threatening Russia with missiles will help terms of trade? NATO wants to have another 'cold' war??? This is what comes of Western politicians/bureaucrats having their heads in conflicts in the Middle East where it is a lot less cold this winter.....

"Gazprom has in fact cut volumes of transit gas to European customers. The Russian company has therefore placed under threat the delivery of gas to European countries," Naftogaz said..... The Commission has insisted that "there is no immediate danger of disruption for European citizens". But officials are worried that the latest wave of freezing weather, in one of the coldest winters for years, will push the EU into a full blown energy crisis by fuelling demand for Russian gas as people seek to heat their homes across Europe. But at some point a major drop in US living standards will come and this will impact on the rest of the world as well. The Dollar/Pound weakness will cause inflation, there will be a signifiant drop in international trade...its already happening. We will import less food, so the cost home produced will rise....and we haven`t even factored in all this cash/debt thats been pumped into the financial system...if you have cash, spend it before it becomes worthless, before the shelves go bare.LOL

Even the BBC is in full swing, playing down the pain, and TRYING to make the schmuks feel happier.LOL

In Detroit, the average home now costs $18.500 and unemployment is 21%.LOL

"...at some point a major drop in US living standards will come and this will impact on the rest of the world as well..... We will import less food, so the cost home produced will rise..."

Actually, at some point it will be again viable to (a) produce more food at home instead of importing, and (b) new factories can be built and some more efficient ones re-opened/geared up. That is, the cost of labor will have fallen..... but so might the heads of a few politicians in the meantime, uhh.

Of course, facism will be the American way if they still cannot accept socialism - although they are getting there. Some already want a preferential voting system too. That would get rid of the Camelot-style elite fantasia they now have and it would be a real democracy at last.

But the US Army has its own plans and already deployed a brigade recycled from Iraq before the presidential elections http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_homeland_090708w/ and also at.....

Quote: "U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman of California said to Congress, captured on C-Span and viewable on YouTube, that individual members of the House were threatened with martial law within a week if they did not pass the bailout bill: "The only way they can pass this bill is by creating and sustaining a panic atmosphere. … Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday that the sky would fall, the market would drop two or three thousand points the first day and a couple of thousand on the second day, and a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted no..." www.alternet.org

As an opponent of the invasion of Iraq (despite being opposed to Saddam) and as a leftist, I nevertheless deeply resent the leftist tendency to glibly call a 'withdrawal' of US, UK etc troops from Iraq. Bomb the place, mess it up and leave. At least Bush and Co are willing to talk (in theory and with forked tongues, perhaps) about the Western responsibility to "rebuild" Iraq. Withdrawal of troops, without parallel economic and other commitments, will only serve to make people in the West feel good...It will leave Iraq in a bigger mess.

Interesting link. you used another the other day and I commented, or should I say "deonstructed" Brown`s comments. Brown used "in this PERIOD", which means he will talk only about todays "deinflation"....Kissinger also used "in this PERIOD"....KISSINGER also said on Gaza, "continuous process"...treatment, routine, procedure, particular course, logial opperation, shape and so on...process, designe and construct....

....when Kissinger mentions "a New World Order", he doesn`t mean the last (old) New World Order is broken. Kissinger used "strategy" just before he said "New World Order", it all goes back to "process". When Bush senior said "read my lips, new world order", he wasn`t literally celebrating a NWO, but another step towards the objective of world government, government controlled by the Rothschilds. Its EVOLUTION, but not as we know it.

"My own country?!" What has where I happened to be born have to do with insulting some random british loser on the internet?! Im british by the way- you think going closer to where fatso here is will make me nicer to him?! Yeah, nice logic. Who cares where someone happened to be born anyway?? Where your parents happened to have sex is totally irrelevant in this day and age. London isnt "a white man's city" anymore. Quit thinking like someone from 100 years ago. This is the modern world- patriotism/nationalism/racism is dead. Get over it.

And the following, which may have been written some time ago, is not an inaccurate picture of what has been and is being created/planned and conveyed/pimped and pumped by media ...........

"The worst contingency plan has also been implemented and is at work right now. For many years now they have been importing drugs and selling them to the people and mainly the poor and minorities. Social welfare programs were put into place to create a dependent non-working element of our society. They began to remove the social welfare programs in order to develop a large criminal class that did not exist in the 50's and early 60's. They encouraged the manufacture and importation of deadly military firearms for the criminal element to use. This was intended to foster a feeling of insecurity which would lead the American people to voluntarily disarm themselves by passing laws against firearms. Incidents were to be staged to speed up the process. By using drugs and hypnosis in a process called Orion on mental patients the CIA inculcated the desire in these people to open fire on school yards and inflame the anti-gun lobby. This plan is well underway and so far is working as planned. This plan must not succeed.

Due to the wave of crime sweeping the nation they will convince the American people a state of anarchy exists within the major cities. They are now building their case almost nightly on TV and daily in newspapers. When public opinion has been won over to this idea they intend to state that a terrorist group armed with a nuclear weapon has entered the United States and that they plan to detonate this device in one of our cities. The government will then suspend the Constitution and declare Martial Law.

However, things have Radically Changed with the Control of Media being tipped in the Favour of Truthful Spin rather than Lying Deceit .

Objects seen in the rear-view mirror may be closer than they appear..... oops, life as a windshield, duh:-

U.S. using China as financial "windshield" - BEIJING (Reuters) - "Developing nations have served as "windshields" to a U.S. economy battered by the global financial maelstrom, yet it is blaming them for a problem caused by its own policies, China's state media said on Wednesday. Two stinging commentaries on the official Xinhua news agency accused U.S. officials of confusing cause and effect and of trying to shift guilt for tumbling stock markets and collapsing pension funds and house prices away from their own desks.

"A strange view has emerged recently from some U.S. government and economic circles, which says high savings in emerging markets such as China and oil exporting countries sowed the seeds of a global credit bubble," one commentary said. "The statement is both irresponsible and untenable," it said, although did not clarify what it was basing the commentary on.

A second commentary took direct aim at Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and out-going Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, while calling on Washington to put its house in order. "As the ancient Chinese sage Confucius said: 'On seeing a man without virtue, examine yourself to be sure you do not have the same defects.'" said the piece, signed by reporter Huang Xin.

Stricken U.S. firms were damaging foreign stock markets as they sold off overseas assets to protect core interests at home, Huang added, making emerging nations take an unfairly high share of the economic pain. "If we compare the U.S. economy to a car, emerging markets have somehow served as windshields amid the battering of the financial storm," it said..." http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE50640Q20090107

Maybe the "proper" way of investment was about to mess up with businesses guaranteed by a narrow board of national informal structures, worldwide - Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Russian.

Also, a very narrow circle of investors share the sector of fast circulation of weaponry and ammos [Africa, Arabistan] and warfare/supply depot activities, watch their stocks rapidly growing .

They were in the know about habits of those youngster credit database programmers from Wall Street [drugs/hot cars/sex/debility/credits], and they could operate stealthly without rising havoc. As I heard somewhere, it is called "to push a cart", which means removing really valuable assets to a secure place. What US banks could do under these, very unconvinient, condion? They were living in patience and obedience, and getting yearly thanks from the boards of investors. Mostly, during last year banks were expecting for the 'reward' from National Reserve/social system of US, which needs were, at high tercentage, fed from outsourcing currencies in a range of national economics.

Of course, some kind of special inter-business relations were seen during the crisis, some kind of special services were kindly invited to serve and to protect... it gave a special flair to the events. Eye mean "RTFM" and "see you" for the new administration of United States from the present one. And, more problemous thing is like going to happen, and it's not dollar or pound falling as this is just a part of a very big mess which may cause broadbanding the sector of circulation of weapons.

Of course, trying to save and grow a personal cherished money tree in this CrazyEn Modern World needs more than being such a noob wanting to bring a touch of Hollywood brass into personal lifestyle [also banks working] and, OMG, buying stuff through internet!

But if you invest in activities like circulation of weapons on a low access level... you will also loose. Medium access level - you will loose or die once. High access level - you will die once. Money must turn, you know. And the true professionals will get their pension from the state.

Other sources of reliable income will mostly be drugs, prostitution in the washing machine, and other things we maybe all know. They are alternative sources of energy and natural resources. Problem of alt energy looks kind of chewed privately late night under one's pillow. And natural resources... we know there is an international battle, guys there just rise WWIII. Have teeth - go byte, drink all'eir blud, tear'em apart, man, live your war, chew your piece, you shark!

Ocean, you know...

But the very source of money to keep it nurishing is poverty around, re: amanfromMars, 07 Jan 2009 at 14:35, "For many years now they have been importing drugs and selling them to the people and mainly the poor and minorities". With one little add-on for if any schiz will proclaim that he hears voices it is not necessarily MKU which combat or perimeter security use generally results in physical disorientation of an object of impact, and, for proper targeting the task, it is necessarily that a commanding voice should be reproduced on ELF/sublim argo/slow speech/coded message, which must have been mapped into object's core before and yes, during series of "sectant prayers" or when an object is given drugs. A Western voodoo, next to a so-called "jihadist" methodologies. They know heaven's shell is made of eternal rubber and can accept all the brave fugitives from this globe. Yesterday we talked a few about credit and stocks database operators and analysts as a working tool for developing the crisis. Surely much in their case appears a matter of homeland- and cybersecurity.

Some few additional information - well, we have just to skip the Atlantics, back to the US again (-;

As you know, one more part of the... hmmm... manual, ment @ msg air3dit 08 January 2009 at 06:21, was going to be issued by the so-called non-partisan, non-profit Center for Strategic and International Studies @ Washington, DC. http://homeland.house.gov/SiteDocuments/20080916142200-02990... .

"The final product of the Commission will be a well-supported package of recommendations for improving cybersecurity that could help guide both a legislative agenda and Presidential policy documents" -

More than 200 staff, large network of affiliated experts - such is the descripted Team Special. If one might imagine, what a heap of dated paper will ANY pack of recommendations become after the Comission for Understanding and Refreshing Data of the Previous Commission finishes their work at the middle of the first Obama's presidential term?

Well, at least, "non-partisan" looks less expensive for the emerged tax-payers. Looking back, we find an attempt to build a bypartisan Commission for Cybersec for the 44th president hold in September - http://news.cnet.com/coops-corner/?keyword=cybersecurity , which didn't succeed also, reported as ill idea by DHS head with a Russian surname Chertoff [in Russia, Michael Chertoff should probably have changed it, as if translated in English, it is also as just as impossible to come out to the street in an English-speaking country having such surname, poor man, for real...]

Bypartisan... Eye imagine twoo guerrillas laying an ambush. Oh, they have turbans on their heads, and eye am even not in the know why they look so (-:

So, a well-paid and swollen bureaucracy still seems the most wanted and untouchable stopper for any leak of sense and trusted information into society. Especially, when we talk about threats which need proactive counter-action.

The very first of them is providing security in heads of database programmers and Hollywood-style wannabees with sustainable lack of modern gadgets like Porshe 911 or like this. But what kind of firewall/antivirus is to be loaded into heads, as some IT men call one's head a server?

"Sorry, Darling, I have strong serveraches tonight" (-:
