How to listen to the New Statesman’s podcasts
At the New Statesman, we publish two regular podcasts. The New Statesman Podcast comes out every Monday and Thursday, and Audio Long Reads is published every Saturday morning.
Here’s how to listen to the latest episodes:
On the New Statesman website
We have a dedicated page on the website for every podcast episode, where you can use the embedded player to listen. Just head to our podcast page, select the episode that you are interested in, and listen in your browser.
Why not bookmark Audio Long Reads or the New Statesman Podcast? You can come back for new episodes of the New Statesman Podcast twice a week and Audio Long Reads every Saturday.
In the New Statesman app
New Statesman subscribers can access all episodes of our episodes ad-free, with early access to some of our limited series, by listening in the New Statesman app. If you’re using an Apple device, download from the App Store. If you’re on an Android phone – that includes Samsung and Google phones – download from the Google Play store. The app is free to download, and also gives New Statesman subscribers access to all our articles as well as digital editions of the magazine.
In a podcast app
All of the New Statesman‘s podcasts are available to listen on all major podcast players, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, YouTube and more. Either click the links above to open in your preferred player, or open the podcast app on your device and search for “The New Statesman”.
Follow or subscribe in your podcast app to receive new episodes as soon as they are published.
On your smart speaker
If you have an Amazon Echo, Google Home or Apple HomePod, ask it to “play the latest episode of Audio Long Reads from the New Statesman” or “play the latest episode of the New Statesman Podcast”.
