Donald Trump is the most Special Snowflake of them all

Many on the right detest weak, sensitive millenials. But their leader isn't so different.

By Amelia Tait

Donald Trump’s supporters are far more empathetic than we ever imagined. Although they poo-poo silly little notions like equal rights and religious freedom, as a group they are single-handedly aiming to cure the greatest disease of the twenty-first century. None of them, not a single one, will rest soundly until the debilitating disease of Believing You Are Somehow Special – to give it its Latin name, Specialus Snowflakus – is wiped off the face of the earth.

It is bold and brave for this body of Baby Boomers to tackle this generational epidemic in such a way. Deep in the right-wing corners of social media, they rally against thin-skinned, sensitive snowflakes in a humanitarian effort to cure the world of its ills. It is a good job – and yes, we must admit it now – that they elected Donald Trump. For who else is better equipped to lead them against these youngsters who can’t cope with ideas that challenge their own, insist on safe spaces, and rely wholeheartedly on the Bank of Mum and Dad?

Trump, for example, would never let people get away with the ridiculous notion of “safe spaces”:

He would never allow idle, no-good youths to rely on their parents for a soft and comfortable life:

His loose tongue and strong voice are the complete antithesis to the weak notion of “trigger warnings”:

Trump would never dare get offended over the little things:

Or the even littler things:

Just to drive him a little bit crazy, I took to referring to him as a “short-fingered vulgarian” in the pages of Spy magazine. That was more than a quarter of a century ago. To this day, I receive the occasional envelope from Trump. There is always a photo of him – generally a tear sheet from a magazine. On all of them he has circled his hand in gold Sharpie in a valiant effort to highlight the length of his fingers.”

– Graydon Carter, Journalist.

He wouldn’t dare to think he was unique or special for no particular reason at all:

Be vain enough to take a selfie? Absolutely never!

And can you even imagine Trump getting annoyed with someone’s tone?

Most of all, the United States president-elect would never, ever dare be overly sensitive towards people who disagree with him:
