Will Self to young people: “You should be patronised, you’re teenagers“

We love Will Self, we really do. Not only does he have a splendid column in this very magazine, but he’s an intelligent man with intelligent opinions that are usually worth listening to.

But he can be a bit of a grump, mind. Over at the Guardian today, Will’s been doing a Q&A about his “fiction, journalism, broadcasting and walking” as part of the paper’s Edinburgh Festival coverage – and at 1.30pm this happened:
