Watch: a US pastor telling Vicky Beeching he “cured” his sister of being gay

The Christian rock star Vicky Beeching, who came out as a lesbian yesterday, handles a “gay cure”-espousing US pastor well in her first TV interview since coming out.

The Christian rock star Vicky Beeching came out yesterday after struggling with her sexuality from the age of 13. Her relationship with the Church meant she felt she had to hide her feelings.

In her first TV interview about coming out, she had to face a US pastor who claimed he’d “cured” his sister of being gay. He said of Beeching: “I am very sorry that she has given in to the lie that she is a homosexual”. He also mentions the “one flesh paradigm”. Also, “there’s no such thing as a gay person”.

She reacted rather well. Watch it here:
