Multiple choices face the world as countries ease lockdowns and deal with the economic upheaval caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. As policy makers weigh up crucial decisions, what are the moral implications of those choices? And could a post-pandemic world see a shift in the value of social responsibility?

On 12 June, the New Statesman’s Spotlight policy supplement convened an online global policy forum, which brought together former and current leaders from politics, business and international organisations to discuss how we can meet the challenges of a post-pandemic world. In this session, master of Magdalene College, Cambridge and former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams joined New Statesman commissioning editor Gavin Jacobson to explore moral dimensions in a world after coronavirus.
