Speaking during a press conference, David Cameron repeated and praised the phrase: “You ain’t no Muslim, bruv.”
The remark, which has been widely shared and quoted, was made by a man caught on video admonishing an attacker who knifed three people in the east London Tube station of Leytonstone at the weekend. The attacker reportedly shouted “this is for Syria” before the assault.
The Prime Minister said:
“I have dedicated speeches and media appearances and sound-bites and everything to this subject but ‘you ain’t no Muslim, bruv’ says it all, much better than I ever could and thank you because that will be applauded all around the country.”
