Labour
Gordon Brown visits Milton Keynes today hoping to bolster support North and South. Both are newly drawn constituencies, both are notionally marginal, and both the Conservatives hope to win from Labour on the way to securing an overall majority.
Conservatives
The Tories are out in force in south west London this morning, a much quieter south west London as there will be no planes flying in and out of Heathrow. Shadow London Minister Justine Greening and Richmond Park PPC Zac Goldsmith will be canvassing near Richmond Town Hall (11am). Greening then meets Twickenham candidate Scott Seaman-Digby at Hayes Town Bandstand street stall (1.30pm), and Hammersmith PPC Shaun Bailey (3pm). Meanwhile, Shadow Transport Secretary Theresa Villiers meets Ealing Central and Action PPC Angie Bray and Brentford and Isleworth PPC Mary Macleod at Turnham Green (11.30am).
Liberal Democrats
According to this morning’s YouGov/Sun poll Nick Clegg’s Lib Dems have overtaken Labour. Perhaps that’s why they’ve got nothing planned today. Or at least why they can’t be bothered to share their plans with us.
The media
Former New Statesman editor Anthony Howard looks at election days past as covered by television (Archive on 4, Radio 4, 8pm). And if you thought the leaders’ debates was the only talent show in town, then you reckoned without the return of Britain’s Got Talent which returns for a fourth series tonight on ITV (8pm).
Away from the campaign
It’s blues versus reds in the Premier League today as Manchester City take on Manchester United at the Eastlands Stadium, Manchester. (12.45pm).
