Middletons in PCC complaint against four newspapers

Family claims 2006 private holiday pictures violate Editor's Code.

Pictures published at the weekend of a pair of bikini-clad Middleton sisters on the deck of a powerboat in Ibiza five years ago have prompted complaints to the Press Complaints Commission against four newspapers.

The PCC confirmed to Press Gazette that it has received complaints from representatives of the Middleton family against the News of the World, Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and Daily Mirror.

The Editors' Code states: "It is unacceptable to photograph individuals in private places without their consent. Private places are public or private property where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy."
