Musical correctness

Wendy Holden ("No fun please, I'm new Labour", 29 January) reminds me of my one visit to the Young Socialists.

A young man told me he didn't like Bach, Beethoven and Mozart because they wrote music for kings and emperors. He liked The Glass Mountain because it was by a socialist. Since that night I have been a Labour-voting party of one.
