Our special photo essay is the tale of two campaigns. In Bethnal Green and Bow, Labour’s Oona King and George Galloway of Respect fought the election’s most bitter battle. Meanwhile, Oliver Letwin, the shadow chancellor, faced a more polite but no less heroic struggle on the doorsteps in West Dorset, a rural marginal.
