Welcome back, Alan Partridge

A classic clip to mark the return of Partridge to our screens.

By George Eaton

I thought the news that Norfolk’s finest, Alan Partridge, is set to return to our screens for a third TV series – the first since 2002 – was as good an excuse as any to post this classic clip from the show.

Taken from the first series – Knowing Me, Knowing You – the scene shows Partridge manfully trying (and failing) to moderate a Newsnight-style debate between an array of by-election candidates.

The end, I promise you, is worth waiting for.
