Cadbury's marketing director to quit

Phil Rumbol, the man behind the famous Gorilla advertisement, is planning to leave the company in Ju

Rumbol joined Cadbury in 2006 and was responsible for creating a new trend in the company's advertising strategy. Rumbol's "Gorilla" campaign featuring a man in a gorilla suit playing the drums to Phil Collins' song "In The Air Tonight" won the grand prix at the Cannes International Advertising Festival in 2008.

His other well-received promotions include the "Eyebrows" advert and the revived Wispa chocolate bar advert using Facebook. Kraft had reportedly asked Rumbol to shift to the company's headquarters at Zurich and work in a pan-European marketing role across an enlarged portfolio.

However, Rumbol said he cannot accept Kraft's offer as he was not keen on relocating his family to Zurich. Cadbury is in search of a replacement for Rumbol, who previously worked at InBev and created ad campaigns for brands such as Stella Artois.
