Sign-up Most major news organisations are reporting tonight that Libyan rebels have entered Tripoli and that Muammar al-Gadaffi's regime, its authority long since undermined by the uprising, is on the verge of collapse. Earlier this evening, Al Arabiya TV reported that Gaddafi's presidential guard has surrendered to the rebels. Of British broadcasters, only Sky News has a presence on the ground in the Libyan capital. Their reporter Alex Crawford is apparently sending back live pictures from the back of a truck in Tripoli, via a mini-satellite dish connected to a car cigarette lighter socket. Sky's live feed can be watched here. Meanwhile, the whereabouts of Gadaffi himself are unknown.
