The New Statesman is hosting its own unaffiliated virtual conference during Labour week, with panel events and guest speeches featuring some of the Labour Party’s most high-profile parliamentarians, as well as business leaders.

Run in partnership with several sponsors, including The UK in a Changing Europe, Scottish Power, and Neon, the online discussions will cover some key areas of both domestic and international policy.

The event will explore important issues around the UK’s strategy for business, public health, education, employment, and more, framed within the context of post-coronavirus recovery.

Labour leader Keir Starmer will open the day, and there will also be speeches from Diane Abbott MP, Yvette Cooper MP, and Shadow Foreign Secretary Lisa Nandy. Panelists, including Shadow Chancellor Anneliese Dodds and West Streeting MP, will discuss higher education participation, renewable energy, the NHS, and the digitisation of various industries.
