Sign-up We’re looking for a new cartoonist! The back page of the New Statesman has a weekly cartoon slot and we’re looking for a new artist to fill it. The cartoon can be topical or surreal, wordy or purely visual – the most important thing is that it must be witty. Make us laugh. It should be in colour. The space is 188mm wide x 74mm high. We suggest a two or three-panel strip might work best, but you can use the space as you wish. Please submit at least one and no more than three examples, in jpeg format, to firstname.lastname@example.org Feel free to add a couple of sentences about yourself, your ideas for the cartoon, and, if you have one, a link to your other work. Please do not submit entries by post. We will do our best to get back to you within 30 days. This is an advertisment for a paid regular freelance position. Your submission will be treated as a job application. We will not use your work without your permission or without payment. › Michael Gove's quiet revolution could transform prisoner education Subscribe For more great writing from our award-winning journalists subscribe for just £1 per month!
