The BPI protects, promotes, represents and supports the UK recorded music industry. With 445 members large and small, the BPI includes a massive range of music companies and a diverse range of musical genres in its membership. Geoff Taylor, 39, the BPI's chief executive, is charged with helping the industry through this period of great change. An expert in copyright litigation with a strong grasp of technology and in-depth industry knowledge, Taylor became the youngest-ever executive to run the BPI in March 2007.
