Vestas Secures New Wind Turbine Supply Contracts

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.

The company has also won two contracts from EDF Energies Nouvelles for supply of 19 V90-2.0 Mw wind turbines for the Gargano wind farm in Apulia, Italy, and for 12 V90-2.0 Mw turbines for the Eckolstadt wind farm, in Thuringen, Germany, for a total capacity of 62 Mw.

According to Vestas, the Italian order comprises supply, installation and commissioning of 19 units of the V90-2.0 Mw turbines. The German order comprises supply, installation and delivery of 12 V90-2.0 Mw turbines.

Vestas has also secured an order for 18 units of the V90-3.0 Mw wind turbine for the UK. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines as well as a service agreement with an availability warranty.  Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to be completed in early 2013.

Vestas has received an order for a total capacity of 50.4 Mw, consisting of 28 units of the V90-1.8 Mw wind turbines for a wind power project in Nooriabad in the Jimphir region of Pakistan.

The contract comprises supply of the turbines, supervision of the installation on site, commissioning as well as a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a two-year service and availability agreement.

Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to start in the first half of 2012 and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
