HCL bags five-year IT infrastructure management contract from Electrolux

IT services provider HCL Technologies has won a five-year IT infrastructure management contract with Swedish home appliance maker Electrolux.

Under the contract, HCL will support workplace services for Electrolux including proactive monitoring and management of network, servers, IT security and end user computing environment in 12 countries in the APAC region including Australia.

HCL said that it will offer these services to Electrolux through its global delivery centres in India and Malaysia and onsite services strengthened by a partner eco-system. It will be providing multilingual helpdesk services in languages including English, Vietnamese, Thai and Bahasa (Malaysia and Indonesia) to Electrolux end-users across Asia Pacific.

Bertil Norberg, CIO of Electrolux Group, said: "We wanted to offer a standardised service to Electrolux operations in Asia Pacific without increasing costs. In HCL we found a partner that understands standardisation of services and has an ability to support the business locally across the region. We look forward to leveraging HCL's tools, processes and best practices to reach our business objectives."

HCL has recently announced global engagements with Nokia, Reader's Digest Association, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Energy Future and Viacom.
