Switching to digital HR manuals could save the UK £300m

Replacing traditional printed manuals with interactive online HR manuals could save £300m for UK HR

According to Transversal, the switch is expected to improve productivity as accessing relevant information is easier in the digital version. It also enables HR staff to concentrate on more business-critical operations.

Printing a HR manual for each of the UK's 21.26 million workers at a cost of £14 means an investment of £297.64m. With each manual at an average of 40 pages, one manual per worker means that 102,048 trees have to be cut down to provide the paper.
