Talking bowl
It's a novel way to put your mind at rest: a talking food bowl that will reassure your pet with the sound of your voice.
The bowl has a built-in sensor that detects when the pet is within six inches and triggers a pre-recorded ten-second message.
The bowl, made by a Canadian firm, is now selling to British pet owners for £14, plus postage.
Inventor Jay Taylor dreamt up the idea. Taylor, 69, said: "I know how much my own pet loves hearing my voice. I thought, if only there was an easy way to leave my voice behind when I couldn't be there. Personally, I hate people talking to me while I eat - but I guess it's different for animals."

Mingle freely
Our intention when branding "Wild Stag Weekends" was not to promote sex tourism in Kathmandu but to encourage holidaymakers to enjoy traditional Nepalese dancing, where they could mingle freely with the dancers. Apparently this has been misunderstood by your newspaper.
