Ad revenue down 10 per cent at Northcliffe Media

This follows the recent announcements that four of its daily newspapers will now be published monthl

Advertising revenue at Northcliffe Media has fallen 10 per cent since last October - the period in which four of its daily titles were converted to weeklies.

A trading update today by parent company Daily Mail General Trust (DMGT) also revealed that headcount at Northcliffe was slashed by 17 per cent in the same period from 3,130 to 2,600.

Two weeks ago the Lincolnshire Echo become the fourth Northcliffe daily to make the switch, following the Exeter Express & Echo, Scunthorpe Telegraph and Torquay Herald Express.
