Singer Lily Allen has accepted damages from the publisher of a French magazine that published a fake interview with her.
So Foot football magazine had featured Allen making offensive remarks about Cheryl and Ashley Cole and Victoria and David Beckham.
Allen's solicitor Mark Thomson told Mr Justice Eady of the London High Court that the title's publisher So Press has now accepted that the singer had not made the statements attributed to her by the magazine.
The defendant is ready to apologise and pay Allen's damages and legal costs, he told the court, adding that her "reputation has been vindicated," reports say.
In the interview published in May 2009 So Foot quoted the singer as describing Victoria Beckham a "monster" and Cheryl Cole "stupid and superficial", according to the Independent.
Last September Allen received £10,000 in damages and an apology from the Sun tabloid, which had re-published some of the claims made by So Foot. She has now been guaranteed that the piece would not be published again.
