Dow Jones plans to add SmartMoney to its other personal finance publications such as Barron's Magazine and Far Eastern Economic Review. Currently, Hearst supervises business affairs, circulation and marketing, while Dow Jones handles the editorial operations.
In 2009, SmartMoney's advertising pages fell 22.9 per cent compared to 2008, according to Publishers Information Bureau figures.
