Makerere University (Makerere) is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Africa. It conducts research in the fields of Agriculture, Medicine, Social science, Technology, and Water reed project. The research conducted on Medicine is Molecular Biology of Malaria, Clinical Pharmacology of Malaria, Degenerative Diseases, particularly cancer, Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS, Mental Health. Makerere owns a University Hospital that comprises of various units which render different services to the university community. In addition, it also operates a business school Makerere University Business School. Makerere is headquartered in Uganda, Africa.
