The Electrical Components and Technologies line markets a complete range of brushes and brush- holders that are critical for the operation of electrical rotating machines, slip-ring assemblies and signal transmission systems for wind turbines, as well as innovative solutions helping to enhance the performance and safety of electrical installations, including low- and medium voltage fuses, coolers for power semiconductors, and current collectors for mass transit systems. During January 2010, the company signed a $13 million contract related to Australia`s largest desalination facility. The company will supply pressure filters to the desalination plant. This desalination plant, which will have a capacity of 450,000 cubic meter in potable water per day, will be able to meet around one-third of the Melbourne region`s water needs starting from late 2011. It will be the largest reverse osmosis seawater desalination plant in the southern hemisphere.
