CEVA Logistics, a non-asset based supply chain management company, has renewed its partnership with Magneti Marelli After Market Parts and Services (AMP&S) for a further four years.
Under the expanded relationship, CEVA will manage the customer’s logistics activities at the hub of San Pietro Mosezzo, near Novara, within a 28,000 sq m dedicated area. The logistics operator will provide services for the handling, stocking and packaging of spare parts, and will handle 10 million inbound and outbound pieces annually.
Both the companies are also planning for further collaboration in the area of telematics based on the new fleet management solutions designed by Magneti Marelli.
CEVA has also developed a customized warehouse management system (WMS) which guarantees close monitoring of warehousing activities, optimal inventory management and high visibility of stock.
Dino Maggioni, managing director of AMP&S, said: “Our partnership with CEVA has constantly evolved in order to meet the service requirements of the European markets. Now we have started a new challenge together to further increase the flexibility and rapidity of distribution activities through the use of technology.”
Gianfranco Sgro, president of Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa at CEVA, said: “We are extremely proud to announce the renewal of our partnership with a prestigious customer such as Magneti Marelli After Market Parts and Services.
“Our experience and deep knowledge of their business, combined with an approach based on cost optimization and the constant search for efficiency, allow us to meet the customer’s needs and to continue this long collaboration. This sector is characterized by strict turnaround times and we are able to respond to the customer’s requirements by guaranteeing deliveries within a time period ranging from one to three days, according to destination, further increasing the satisfaction of the final consumer.”
