no

Surely the administration of an Alternative Vote system will be a nightmare to count? If all voting forms are scanned into computers for the votes in favour of ousted candidates to be reallocated until the 50% in favour of one candidate is achieved, there will be significant delays in processing the vote - not to mention the suspicion that the results may have been distorted within the system. AV could also result in a lack clarity in predicting the outcome from exit polls at the ballot stations.
