Nicki Minaj "endorses" Mitt Romney
"You lazy bitches is fucking up the economy"
By Alex Hern Published 04 September 2012
Nicki Minaj has rapped, in a collaboration with Lil Wayne that:
I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney /
You lazy bitches is fucking up the economy.
There is much debate over whether Minaj is sincere in her "endorsement". On the one hand, she notably attacked President Obama in June this year for failing to properly ensure access to healthcare, tweeting as a friend was dying:
What's sad is that when Yvette was bringing home the bacon, the gov't was probably taking millions. On her deathbed though, #Nowheretobefound
That should be a God given right! Even with Obama Care, too much involved. Just give FREE health care to all. @BarackObama what can we do?
But that attack comes from the left, not the right. Matt Yglesias, in what is apparently a new-found lease of life analysing lyrics, contends that:
Hip hop artists often engage in lyrical flights of fancy intended as symbolic tokens of their material success rather than literal descriptions of events (I don't believe she's in possession of an actual starship either). The point here is that she's so rich she's become a Republican—a boast, not an endorsement.
The song, which is track five of Lil Wayne's new mixtape Dedication 4, is available as a free download here.

First of all, her grammar is enough alone to make her irrelevant when it comes to important matters of life. Secondly, totally off subject, but has anyone else noticed how FLAT her butt looks in this pic?! Mmmhmmm.... *looks suspiciously through all these Minaj images online* Nicki Minaj can't even be honest about herself & her own image. Goodbye.
Hip Hop is a way to riches and not social comment. Just look at the stars who made it in the last decade.
Entrepreneurs( that's French you know), film stars, label guys, celebs, whatever. Can even get into Macy's. Man, that's sumthin!!
